I had a weird dream related to Barnsley last week. Daniel Stendel was living in a flat up Wombwell. I walked up the stairs past a p1ssed up hobo and it turned out Dani was living in a small room and had loads of needles sticking in him. There were broken off needles in his right shoulder and knitting needles impaled in his arms. I work at the hospital so I tried to convince him to go to A&E but he refused. I don't remember precisely what happened next but the antichrist showed up.

I was at this game. Remember Hull had staff going around the pitch with boards with the time of the “golden goals”. It was something to do with cash prizes on the minute the goal was scored. They had this chalk board.
Off they trotted when a goal went in, displaying to the crowd. Except in the second half, the goals were going in one after the other. These poor girls couldn’t keep up, and were legging it around the pitch! Think they were still going after the game had finished!

Awesome mate, it's threads like this and posts like yours that are the reason this forum exists, or should be anyway.

I can remember going to Tranmere circa 2000 with my mate, we were 2 down after 30 minutes so he pi$$ed of the the prenton park pub over the road, we proceeded to win 3 -2 with goals from Morgan, Shipperley and Rankine he was very sheepish when I met him after, I was also present at the Reds 3 Exeter 4 the heartache of that set me up to be a reds fan for life, to endure losing by 7 at Reading and West Brom, by 5 at Crawley!! mind you I did see us win 7-1 at Workington in 1976 made what seemed like the longest drive back in history a lot shorter:D

I normally can remember very little about the game I just watched by the time I get home, such is my memory these days. But I remember that Fulham game in the early 80s like it was yesterday. Ranks as one of my favourite ever games.

You might be right. I do remember a diving header though that maybe David Geddes was also close to. Maybe that was the season after? It was a televised game, so probably not Fulham?

That was Grimsby at home I think. I have a scrapbook from that season somewhere with the photo in.

That’s the one. Him and Vaughan’s career swapped after that fixture

It was Fulham away when we won with 10 men. Glyn Riley went in goal. I was on nights at Stocksbridge.

I was there, Geddis's first game. One of the goals (scored by Cunningham) was from a cross on the right with the ball being at least a foot beyond the goal line. Shame for Grimsby there was no VAR......
