    That explains why I hadn't but my son had heard of him. Very sad for all those who had relations and friends in the crash.

    It probably explains it for me too plus the fact I have no interest in Basketball. I knew his name but I didn't know who he was or why he was famous. I certainly couldn't have picked him out in a line-up.

    Still tragic. RIP Kobe and every one who died in the crash.

    No offence intended to you or any of the others that have done the same but if someone has died that you don't know why bother going into the thread and informing everyone that you don't know them?

    I see quite a few threads on here of people i've never heard of, i just think it'd be a bit random saying I dont know them but RIP.
