    Knew you’d know McGettigan, Lil.

If I remember correctly, McMahon was a consistent goal scorer at York but totally useless with us.

Scored on his debut away at Northampton Town in the 1968/69 season. We lost 3-1.

Strange that, how some players are world beaters at one club but it doesn’t work for them at another. We’ve had it the other way: Big Trevor was a wonderful player yet Palace fans thought he was a donkey.

That's right. Chelsea & Millwall fans didn't rate him, either.
The Sheffield United fans I worked with couldn't understand why I rated Brian Howard so highly, nor how he managed to score so many goals for us.

More recently, I don’t think Adam Hammill is as highly regarded at other clubs as he is here.

Thinking about it, Lil, I’m surprised there’s much Sheff U fans do understand

I normally ask his mam and dad although I've not seen them for a while.Last time we spoke he said he's in the gym every day and although limited with what he can do he'll never give up. Tragic for such a young lad with a good career in front of him.
