No surprise if they don’t go. They can leave for free and get a better deal themselves in the summer with a bigger signing on fee etc. I could only see a loan deal cropping up for one of them last minute. I don’t blame them for staying either.
Agree. I'd have all 3 in the squad tomorrow. Cavare, Pinillos, Thiam. Or Williams, Williams, Schmidt. The Plan.
Not surprising to me if they dont go either, but my reasoning is that its because there ****, my opinion ofc
I quite like Dimitri. He seems fun. However, I watched him watch on against Brentford and refuse to defend as they scored three times. At Boro, I watched as he cost us the game. In others, he cost us goals. I have no idea why anyone would want him in the team.
They can have the next six months free of meaningful matches, keep earning championship wages and then get a nice signing on fee in the summer as a free transfer. If only league one or two clubs want them now it's no wonder they aren't in a hurry to leave.
No surprise - he’s the only one out of the three who has actually been involved under Struber recently, albeit on the bench.
And he's still our best right back! How poor does that make our squad!..... He's made mistakes, cost us goals but so have many others this season, i would give him another chance. Others with less ability have been given alot more time.
I’d play Cavare wide right. I’d happily see the other two leave. Plenty of chances and just not good enough.
I like him. Pushing and driving forward. However, hes like a young school kid. And what most young teams have problems with. He doesn't want to be a defender. He wants glory pushing forward. Very few kids want to grow up to be a defender. And hes an older version of it. Shame, because he is a real power house who could be a fans favourite He lets himself down, and seems a bit headstrong. If he put the effort in tracking back and fighting for the cause, he would be up there as a real fans choice. His choice doesn't seem to fit in with what we want him to do. And I find that a bit sad tbh, because I do like him.
Trouble is, he can’t defend fully, and when he gets in the final third, his final ball is sometimes lacking/inconsistent. Everything in between he’s fine with. I’d almost say centre-mid might work well for him, but he’s likely to lose the ball at a critical point and doesn’t have that work ethic either. 2 games in 5, he’s solid. The other 3 he costs the team. League 1 is his level and he does well there.
I'd go with Schmidt, Thiam is in his 3rd season and has conclusively proven he's not good enough. Schmidt has shown next to nothing too but at least he's played a lot less so we can live in hope.
