Firstly, the majority on here lay the blame with the owners not the players. Secondly, if players want to read a BBS then thats their choice but wouldn't be advisable for any player of any club unless they're Messi or Ronaldo. Third and finally, remind me where we are in the league again and tell us why we haven't got a right to criticise the current predicament
But should you maintain the same partnership just because you consider them settled if they are clearly not performing?
Its a shame really In our position it should be all hands on deck.Unfortunatly its horses for courses "another mans drink is another mans poison". Hopefully now the windows shut all the players are given a chance to stake there claim.
I think you need an element of time to get the understanding. I'm not a manager so I dont know how much time you should allow
If I was picking the side he'd be behind our two centre backs sweeping up. Like Gary Flemming did when he played his best games for us. The fashion now is to have the keeper do that which is just as bonkers and unsuccessful in practice as it sounds. Incidentally, what did Gary's forefathers do to be shackled with the surname Fleming?
Think it’s about balance personally. It’s not unreasonable for a player to read that someone thinks they had a bad game or to highlight what they think their technical flaws are but sometimes posters go to far and the insults get personal, that I don’t agree with and am sure if most of us read that sort of thing constantly it could affect you’re thought process.
Respectfully disagree. Our defence has been pretty settled all season - Diaby, Anderson and Jordan Williams have played the majority of the games.
It was either a tweet or a newspaper interview but it appeared to be a dig at Daniel by saying he had been fit for months where as the coaches line was he still had an eye injury.
And, to be fair, those three lads aren't Pinilos? Couldn't disagree more. His positioning & defensive side wasn't that great last year IMO & we'd be even more screwed with him laiking closer to our nets.
No it was a definite dig highlighted on here by some at the time.I didn't see it as a problem not all players can be flavour of the month all the time.
I don't think it's a coincidence that Pinillos, Thiam and Cavare are all out of contract at the end of the season, which doesn't make any sense as to why they're still here. Surely we should've took any offer to get them off the wage bill, to some extent at least.
Are you getting mixed up with Dougall because I think he said he'd been fit a bit before he played under Murray?
It’s a pure punt, but I’m guessing it would be something like the players wanted their contracts paying up due to having to take a pay cut and the club refused.
Must have watched a different team to me. First on my list for new recruits in the summer would have been a left back. Not because Pinillos was no good, but because he simply isn't fast enough. That didn't effect him last season because his positioning and experience of the game was so good which allowed him to compensate for his lack of pace and he had an excellent season in the meanest defence in the football league. In the Championship it doesn't matter how good your reading of the game is, if you don't have pace you'll get fried most weeks playing full back. But that reading of the game can be utilised elsewhere.
No I recall Dougall saying that he'd been fit for a while but Pinilos was also asked about his eye injury and he gave his reply.
