Seems an odd declaration. I know we were looking to get shut and there was even some interest there from other clubs. Reading on twitter they all turned down moves but...
Radlinger and Ritzmair out of Saturdays game too, maybe Walton is going to start. Unless Collins is back fit.
The fact that three potentially useful players are being shut out says it all about the dysfunctional nature of the current regime. You might be able to feasibly argue one or even two are difficult customers, but all three? Don't think so. Especially feel sorry for Pinnilos. Looks a team player to me and Forest fans have a soft spot for him. .
To be fair to Struber, at least he's talking to us unlike to CEO or others. He's also said we need to learn lessons from previous transfer windows, so I've a feeling he's fed up with it all at this early stage. Not sure the owners will like him saying this.
Collins was in the training video the club released yesterday so I’d imagine he’ll be staring with Walton on the bench.
Do the players mentioned possibly have clauses in contracts that they trigger another year or more money if they play?
Thing about us, is everyone knows how we operate in terms of recruitment. It’s a poison chalice, yet managers still take the leap, all full of enthusiasm, but after a while of trying different things and nothing much changing, they crack and start trying to pass the blame to recruitment. Recruitment is the key cause, but surely he knew that when he took the job, plus aren’t some of these players ones strudel knows?
Floodlights were on down at oakwell this afternoon , strange on a bright day like today. I'm wondering if they've signed someone on a free and it's for the publicity shots ?
Disgusting They were happy to sign them , and they have a contract still. You are not telling me that either of three could not be used if required
In our position, the last thing I'd want to do would be to publicly freeze out players in this way, essentially acknowledging that we're content to waste their wages until the expiry of their contracts, whilst having failed to adequately recruit for our immediate needs in the January transfer window. It doesn't fill me with confidence regarding GS's man management skills either. Regardless of anything else, you'd hope the squad unrest would be kept away from the public eye, particularly ahead of such a key fixture on Saturday. I was hoping that the January transfer window would restore some badly needed optimism but, if anything, things appear to be going from bad to worse. We're certainly in need of a confidence boosting result on Saturday, as unlikely as that seems to me right now.
these players have seemingly become better by not playing it seems. pinnilos was too slow, Thiam too lazy and Cavare couldn’t defend the last time these 3 played. Im making no comment on wether they are better than the current lot in the team of course.
