I am almost 53 years old. Been attending Oakwell since 1978. Been a season ticket holder 28 year and just been searched entering the ground by a steward. To have hands touching my body made my skin crawl NOT acceptable
If you've nothing to hide you've nothing to worry about..... Count yourself lucky you've gone 28 years.
It isn't pleasant to be searched but what was unacceptable? Do you not go to concerts/ airports? They have to spot check everyone not just dodgy looking people. If you felt the person doing the searching was inappropriate, report them. If it was being searched that bothered you, sorry but that is the climate we live in.
I read it as "The rules shouldn't apply to me, I'm special." Sorry but it doesn't work like that. If women didn't get searched then people would soon cotton on to this.
I've had it happen to me. It's not pleasant but in this day and age it's become a necessity. It's better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.
Nearly all body searches are for two things 1, to stop people entering with items they shouldn't have and 2, the main one which trumps anybody saying they feel violated ( raising my eyebrows) is everybody's safety, because I'd put a months wage on that the ones moaning would be the first to flap their guns about 5hite security measures in place if something horrible happened, I wish it was the 50s but sadly we live in a awful world ( sometimes( good to see the stewards being vigilante
Nobody likes being searched (actually I shouldn’t say that, some people probably do) but it’s necessary
Translation: Im older so rules shouldn't apply to me I'm female so rules shouldn't apply to me Sorry but equality is equality
I’d rather be searched than someone bring in something they shouldn’t. Or is it just that other people should be searched but not you?
Exactly that. I get searched at pretty much every gig/show I go to. Shouldn’t be any different at football games.
