I really don’t care what the blokes profession is, if someone does that to someone else they deserve locking up, if someone does that to my child I’d happily do time for what they’d get in return. They’d learn never to touch my child again.

Talking to someone who travelled to the game by train from Wakefield yesterday. On the way back to
the station, they saw opposing fans on either side of the street goading one another and some youths
were seen rocking police vans in an attempt to overturn them. The PC inflicting the injury on the young
lad probably got caught up in the moment, but there's still no excuse for the level of violence he used.

Crowd control isn't easy the police should make a statement about the event to assist understanding and guide future conduct.

It wasn't a crowd and a 16yr old can be controlled much easier than slapping him round the head with a baton.
    OTT cop abusing his position.
Get him sacked, then make a statement.
I hope that cop is sat at home bricking himself the complete w4nker.

    What's to investigate?
    There's video and photographic evidence.

I get the feeling you're stalking my posts pal, back off.

What's there to investigate? The events leading up to it? The reason? The officers thought process? It's how we operate in this country, we do an investigation before sacking employees. It's the law basically
Believing there should be an investigation doesn't mean I believe he was right to do what he did or should be cleared.

Oh by the way, read the thread you'll notice I was posting in it before this reply by you. That's some psychic stalking from me

I'm not sure how he gets out of that one, in the video he looks like he realises he has ****** up and his colleges also look shocked. Hit him round the legs fair enough but on the head should be up in court it's called gbh with intent.

Not about who posted first... You know what I'm talking about. You don't own the forum. If you don't like my posts, ignore them. As I said, back off.

I’ve met loads of auditors (if we are talking about the people who audit businesses), and they are probably the mildest-mannered people I’ve ever met!

I don't think he will or should get out of it. In my none expert opinion it should have been an underarm swing which reduced the risk. But an investigation and then action is the way things should be done

I was disagreeing with a point you made. Calm down, people disagree on here all the time. I actually don't think I was posting in the thread before you (think you posted some last night) I'm just saying I was posting in it before this reply to you which shows it is an interest in the thread and not an interest in you

So the police officer also sustained injuries to his head and stomach.

Maybe we should wait for the facts before sentencing the officer. Just a thought.

It doesn't necessarily mean the same officer though does it? Depends how it's read.

It clearly says “The police officer” that can only be referring to him.

Are you sure it clearly says that?

    I'm seeing "and an officer"

    Further down

“The 16 year old boy was taken to hospital by ambulance. The police officer also attended hospital. Both of their injuries are not life threatening”
