What? They did it constantly and were booed and jeered by the fans when they did. It only stopped when Sheffield Wednesday cottoned on to it and put their players so close to andersen that we couldn't do it.
Thought he got away with at least 3 clear fouls off the ball & played Anderson into danger on 2 occasions when he had space to forward himself. He was a lot better than he was in the Charlton game but to be fair he had very little to do yesterday
Unfortunately for Andersen their goal was a result of the ball rebounding from his shin into the path of Windass. He did however finally have the presence of mind to put the ball in the East Stand when Wednesday were putting pressure on our defence during the second half.
To be fair, most goals look preventable when watched on a replay. Especially if you know what's coming. In the heat of the moment, it's not always so easy. That said, a lot of the goals we've conceded this season have been preventable. I'm just not sure that Saturday's was one of them. It's bouncing around like pinball and just happens to fall kindly to the opposition.
