The most recent accounts haven't been published yet I believe. So nobody knows whether any money has been taken out. But the money raised from player sales this summer has gone to the following: - lining their pockets Or - making the worst lot of signings (pound for pound) in the history of our club. Either way, it's not good.
Wednesday aren’t fickle, deluded yes, but not fickle... I mean they keep believing that their “premiership return season ticket” that they bought in 2000 would automatically boost a club to their rightful place in the champions league elite... unfortunately 20 years later, they’re still struggling to beat a very poor Barnsley side...
Brexit means we get rid of all these foreign types from our proud Anglo-Saxon heritage, have you not been listening? Next years starting 11- Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith Smith
Of course they’re here to make money. Why else would they be here? The thing that’s wrong is your statement that they’re “using your money for other projects”
It still amuses me that because Stendel was speaking to another cub/s, he became the anti christ to some. It happens ALL the time all over, as previously comnented, we should have listened and backed our coach. Maybe if we had, we wouldnt be in such a mess.
They wont be here in few years, please look at the evidence. They asset strip the best players, replace with young wannabes and then hide behind the smoke of "we are proitable" and how they built an acadamy and brought in international investment. Ask Fc Nice fans. They were there for the long term too, now how did that work out mmmmmm..............
They’ve made money to date and will make some more come summer. I can guarantee the well will dry up pretty swiftly after that. Without serious investment in the playing staff we’re going to struggle at L1 level in front of 6000 crowds. There’s no money to be made from that scenario for sure.
Nobody apart from you have called him the antichrist, I liked him a lot as a a coach and a person, but with talking to another club, and apparently sounding out our backroom staff coupled with the results I can see why he left. If there was no truth in this then the club would not have brought it to light. He also played sibbick every game
Really Just being obtuse. I absolutely do know about Companies House. I’m just not sure how anyone can state anything with certainty regarding the financial affairs of the club, given that we need to see the most recent accounts when they are submitted. The relatively opaque nature of the company structure may well make it difficult to reach conclusions anyway.
As soon as the profitable players are sold on relegation and they’ve well and truly recouped their investment, more absolute dross will be bought to replace the only saleable assets, we will drop away from any potential promotion and they will sell us on. I can see it a mile off. But hey, they’ll leave rubbing their hands with their player and club profits thinking they’ve achieved and we’ll still be solvent so that’s ok then .
The owners have messed up. Their plan isn’t working and it’s the fans paying the ultimate price for their failure. The recruitment policy just doesn’t work in this league, especially when you’re trying to rebuild a team. Forget the sale of players and supposed asset stripping for a second. If these owners did decide to sell, who would buy this club? Who would want to put money into a relatively small football club without a guaranteed return? Look at the clubs with owners that are ploughing money into teams and not getting a decent return. Look at the teams with potential they’re investing in. Unless one of our fans suddenly becomes a billionaire and is willing to invest in the club they have a genuine love and passion for, I can’t imagine things would be drastically different with new owners - unless they’re happy to accrue a load of debt. Sure different owners might recruit a manager more familiar with the league. They might even decide to spend a bit more on players with money from their own pocket, but it’s risky. I’m unsure how much there is to be made from a club constantly finishing mid to low Championship and whether it’s worth it. Our last owner managed to keep the fans relatively happy, but there was no real progress (Unless not getting relegated is progressive?) and the accounts suggest he lost money during his tenure.
