Did you attend Classic Rock Society gigs?

I can stand being wrong, but boring would be unbearable.

Some truth in that though we had already missed a couple of decent chances before we scored and Fulham hadnt created anything. Had Brown controlled Mowatts pass he could have scored without the help of the penalty - which was a clear goalkeeping error - first to drop the ball then compound his error by hauling Brown to the ground. We weren't sitting back like Birmingham - but neither were Fulham which helped us no end. Second half we handled the conditions much better as into the wind we could hit over the centre backs for Brown and Chaplin to chase

From one angle I've seen, at the moment the keeper spills the ball there is clear daylight between him and Brownie. They collide a fraction of a second later but it's a coming together not a foul.

They used to put on gigs in the Rotherham, Maltby and Wath areas. For many years, they were fundamental in shaping my musical taste, and were responsible for introducing me to many bands that I still love to this day. They are gone now unfortunately, but a group of ex-members is trying to resurrect the idea. I have not been to any of their gigs yet

A bit outside of my stamping ground. Not sure if the timing would have been right for me... My earliest involvement with prog would have been the late 70s, give or take. I left school in 78, so started buying records a year or two before that. Yes (Going For The One) and Pink Floyd (Wish You Were Here) would have been some of the first albums I bought. Still love those two, even so long after. I was still working my way through the Yes/Genesis/Floyd back catalogue even while I was developing an interest in New Wave stuff. I always had a sneaky suspicion that The Stranglers were a wannabe prog band in disguise.

The stranglers disguise was a good un.

Try the band IQ on Spotify. Anything of theirs will do, but "Road of Bones" is a good place to start.
