Laughing out loud sorry I read your post wrong.. I read it as when do you do your shopping hence the lengthy reply below I've left it up because it can be helpful to some... If anybody wants any help reveganism I'm happy to help.. If I can The knowledge I've gained over 10 years reading and attending seminars and presentations and cooking courses and Non cooking... ( raw ) I will be one of the first to admit I'm still learning from recipes method and natural remedies... I fancy doing a foraging course for natural food sources but to date nothing as timed in to fit my time scale or budget.. Shopping wise we don't have a regular day for shopping... Nuts dates ( always madjool find these are the best ) pulses we order off the net depending on prices sometimes it can works out cheaper at sprouts in Rotherham (Asian supermarket ) bananas we buy by the box and freeze both for smoothies or ice cream... Tomatoes by the box, beside regular use... we have a dehydrater oven independent from our regular stove which slowly takes out the moisture from food which in turn enables us to make a version of sun-dried tomatoes I also use this to dry out any herbs left at the end of the season from my pots of herbs The dehydrator also enables us to make what's called fruit leathers... You blend your mixture of fruit dry it out and you are left with a tasty chewy snack... Plus when we have gone raw it warms certain foods to an acceptable level that the recipe calls for without cooking it we also make granola breakfast cereal Naked bars are known in house as grandpa's bare bars lol and are eaten as quick as they are made by the grand kids and are so easy to make ... Lol... We even make our own cheeses cakes etc when ever we can... There's some great vegan cook books out there... And anybody willing to give veganism a try and wanting to loose some timber you wouldn't go far wrong in getting the go lean vegan cookbook... Easy to follow and delicious tasty food... What's a week let alone month out in real life terms... Give it a try think you will be impressed... Sorry if I've gone on
Interesting . You don't eat meat because of their pain which you don't experience only imagine . It is time you imagined the pain as you slice , with a sharp knife , your veg into little pieces . Sweet dreams .
I'm going to be honest. I don't feel guilty in the slightest for eating meat. Nor do I feel guilty about not feeling guilty. It's an extremely natural thing.
You must be a vegan, because in the realms of irreversible climate change there are many levels to go before you scrape the bottom with eating meat.
My dreams will be sweet: I neither justify, nor participate in, the murder of animals for my own pleasure, and hence I sleep very well indeed. May the souls of the livestock for whose deaths you are responsible haunt your own dreams. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I experienced working from home for three years working in IT/Telecoms with occasional 'outings to client meetings and project 'go-lives' Prior to tghat I had spent many months working in development and test comms rooms and on-site for new projects. Many aspects require physical presence but many do not. My last three years were spent technical authoring and Quality assuring documentation which could be done from home and receiving giving updates in conference calls. My company provided me with a separate internet connection for business, and all the office equipment I needed -printer shredder desk chair etc. They introduced hot desking at the main offices too. I saved ours on commuting and worked flexibly often working during commuting time but them able to say go for a walk in the afternoon if the weather was good or watch some cricket. As long as the work was completed to schedule and I was readily contactable it was to everybodys advantage. The point is many businesses could do the same and as my wife pointed out, by the time HS2 is finished it could be obsolete. If you have seen the Avengers movies where they held hologram conference calls, a lot of unneccessary business commutes and journeys by both road and rail (not to mention flights) could be ended freeing up capacity for essential ones where physical presence is required.
Must have been knackered if he fell asleep after 'One' I had a pre op general in hospital once and got to at least 5 before I woke up after the procedure!!
Not trying to go off topic here, killing any animal is wrong but for food imo is justified, providing it's as humane as possible, with little to no suffering on the animals whatsoever, I dont support screaming vegans shouting obscenities at people going about their day, however, I would support them picketing a hal hal abattoir, nothing to do with religion btw but everything to do with slitting an animals throat and for the animals to suffer a slow painful death. Animals are killed for the food chain, it's not nice but that way is vile and cruel imo
I work from home full time - and have done for the last 3 years. There are great benefits as you mention - I save an hour a day not commuting and 8000 miles a year not driven in the car - and have the flexibility to bend my hours to suit to some degree - though to be fair I had that in the office as well The one thing I miss is the interaction with people - its not the same over the phone or on skype. Apart from the occasional trip to a customer in Austria and the odd conference I am stuck at home. An ideal would be a flexible home and office working when I went in a couple of times a week but that option isnt there for me in my current job
There is absolutely nothing natural about the way meat is produced in countries like the UK in 2020. You’re either incredibly naive or don’t want to face facts about how the meat arrives on your table.
I know exactly how the meat arrives on my table. I'm not talking about that though. I'm talking about eating meat. It's what our digestive systems were evolved for. If you want to talk about the way we produce meat, it is just as natural as a lion using their claws to kill their food, or any other evolutionary feature that exists in the food tree. The difference is that humans have evolved to use our brains, so we have devised easier and more humane ways to gather our food. It's a lot more natural than the genetically engineered crops that you get in supermarkets.
