Appreciate Struber changes tactics today, worked well with Williams as the 3rd centre half. I was sceptical when I saw them in that formation but it worked well imho.
Ive just had to ask my mate who i went to game with but i never even noticed we played 3 at back. Just looked like the normal diamond to me. Weird.
I thought we were playing with 2 left backs, one behind the other, and I said so at the game. Can't wait for the Minority Report from @Red Rain
It might be a trite point, but if Williams was left back and Odour was left midfield then why did Williams not take a single throw in?
I think he's learning fast, he had a great game today, and has a good future in the fame. On today's performance, and last week's.
Think he’s better than Ben Williams, and better then Anderson in a 3, a lot to learn but he’s very promising.
I'm sorry, but you saw a different game to me. Williams was superb today. Our whole back 4/5 were brilliant. Middlesbro' had zero shots on target all game.
For me it was the usual diamond with Odour replacing Thomas. I am not sure where these 3 centre half’s are coming from. Oh and Struber with his TX MAx clothes and his woeful face scarf .... simply not cool..give me Daniel Stendel any day long but we live to fight another day!!!
“My three centre backs created a special performance and our defensive system was the key in the end that we won and we can celebrate a big win against a very good team.” Struber thinks he played a 3.
Last season, I felt that Jordan Williams wasn't good enough to be a sub in League One, and said as much on here. I was wrong about that. He's learnt very quickly: fair play to him.
I thought it was a 4312 with the "3" being asymmetrical. By that I mean that oudour played more as a left winger whereas bahre was more central with mowatt.
For someone aged 20 only playing their 42nd professional appearance in a difficult division he's doing pretty well.
