    One of the greatest nights in the history of Barnsley Football Club.
    We beat champions Manchester United in an FA Cup 5th Round replay by 3-2, Jones 2 & Hendrie getting the goals.

    Ferguson under estimated us that night. Never forget him chucking on Beckham,Cole & Giggs (I think) in a panic after we went 3-1 up. Think we surprised the whole country that night

    Both Beckham & Cole started the game. Sheringham came on for Nevland if I remember correctly and scored United's first.

    We had a number of our first teamers out injured that night, too, along with Fjortoft missing due to being cup-tied.

    Its a good job they didn't have VAR Hendrie was about a foot off-side. I think the linesman turned a blind eye because we were robbed at Old Trafford with the penalty decision.

    Sadly, mate, it also show how far the club fell in an extremely short space of time. The impression that I have from that night is the amount of injury time Mike Riley played, even though there'd been few occasions the physios had to come onto the field.

    One of the most underestimated goals in the history of BFC, probably due to Jones taking the limelight that evening. Hendries goal - top corner, outside of the boot against one of the worlds best keepers at the time.

    What a match but bloody hell that makes me feel old.

    I remember it like it was yesterday.

    One of the best matches I have ever been to, without doubt. Away at Old Trafford wasn’t too shabby either..

    You can’t underestimate how dominant Man Utd were at the time either.

    More dominant than Liverpool and Man City now I would suggest.
