Making changes are a good thing, but I bet if we look over the last 10 games there are at least 5 or 6 instances of hooking someone at half time or before. Is this an admission of wrong tactics? Is it that a player is not doing the correct job? If it's the latter then why persist with selecting said player. Both Bahre and Oduor have been subbed in this manner.
I would suggest admission of wrong tactics. What that says to me is either our intel on other teams is poor or the management are ignoring/not using.
You cant blame the manager when professional footballers cant get a shot even close to the target when the ball is in front of them they have a clear sight of goal and the nearest defender is 2 or 3 yards away. My other post refers to 'high and wide' which we demonstrated our adeptness at on far too many occasions today. Shocking lack of composure.
Let's take a look at the last 10 games. That's a fair sample size. Reading Oduor 45 Ritzmaier and Chaplin 57 Hull Oduor 45 Bahre 51 Thomas 74 Middlesbrough Chaplin 82 Bahre 89 Fulham Thomas 81 Chaplin 86 Woodrow 90 Birmingham Oduor 27 Styles 45 Simoes 70 Wednesday Thomas 62 Chaplin 68 Simoes 83 Charlton Williams 68 Oduor 68 Chaplin 86 Portsmouth Thomas 45 Halme 69 Preston Dougall 54 Thomas 61 Chaplin 75 Bristol City Williams 71 Thomas 88 -- Lots of early subs there, usually when we're losing at half time. Has he no patience? Does he panic if we go in at half time whilst losing? Incidentally, just before the games quoted above are the 2 back to back games where Bahre was subbed inside the first half hour. I don't get him.
