Loved that goal as a kid. Gary Crosby being cheeky and Andy Dibble throwing a tantrum. Wouldn't be allowed in this day and age, but a very memorable goal.

Always remember Ernie Hunts free kick for Coventry against Everton at Goodison Park
in 1970. Believe the technique was eventually outlawed by the FA.

Why were Everton playing in yellow?

Good point SD. Amazing how your memory plays tricks. I was convinced the game was at Goodison but
after looking it up, I was wrong, it was at Highfield Road, so the answer is the kit was yellow and must have been Everton's
    away kit that season.

    Never seen that before.

Great innovation would love to see more of those!

I think Man City used that free-kick routine aswell.

Southampton had a similar routine in a cup match against Bradford City at Valley Parade about 1976? There was a big meal made of it in the press and I think the practice was banned (one footed rather than two footed flick)

discussed from 2mins30. And a rousing chorus of the much-loved 70's anthem "You're gonna get your flipping head kicked-in" from 3mins10. Sky / BT would drown that out a bit better these days :)
