Part of the reason I enjoy The Good Life so much is the chemistry between the 4 main characters. There's a likeability factor that some of the more recent comedies don't have (in my opinion, of course). The fact that I also enjoy Rosemary & Thyme is coincidental. Nothing whatsoever to do with Felicity Kendal - honest!

I have a soft spot for On The Beat. Loved it as a kid and it still makes me laugh out loud today. I haven't seen it for a while, so I'll have to dig out the DVD.
