    Phoenix nights
    More recently enjoyed
    Rev
    The detectorists
    Fleabag
    Cunk on Britain
    Toast of London
Anything with Kathryn Ryan in it

Only American comedies I get are cartoons, Simpsons, family guy

Also think they should do a Brexit special of thick of it. I actually found the chicanery perversely amusing

Base material is priceless. Boris saying he'd rather die in a ditch than sign, then signs. Jezza spending a year demanding an election then when he's offered one saying he doesn't want one, but, the priceless one for me, SNP windbag Ian Blackfoot arguing in parliament election should be on a Tuesday because of daylight issues. Someone stopped him pointing out there would be 22 seconds more daylight than on the thursday

I though the Pilot (Not the pilot) episode was pretty weak, but the one set in the court was brilliant, myself and my 10 year old son laughed uncontrollably to that.

I nearly mentioned the one in the smallish court as that was my second favourite episode

Struggle to watch it as it feels like I'm watching a copy of 'the Office' - or a Gareth Keenan spin-off series.

Wow - each to their own! I watched some of that genuinely amazed it was not only being commissioned for TV but that it was very successful in the theatre as well.
For me, it belongs on CBBC or the comedy archives from 1935.

I recently picked up the box set of TIL DEATH US DO PART. Just watched the first series from 1966 in black/ white. It stared Ian St John who belted Alf in a Glasgow pub.
Doubt many of the older episodes will ever be shown again on tv. Too many references to Coons, Sambos and the degrading comments of ethnic minorities that quite honestly it does over step the mark. Just does not fit into today’s PC society. I’d say Love Thy Neighbour would be similar even when it’s the racists who are shown up and laughed at.
I’m not easily offended but I must admit I was shocked when Alf openly voiced his support of the Tory party.

I can see the comparison, shot is a documentary style and his haircut which makes him look similar to Mckenzie Crook
