No chance, after 37 years of supporting the Reds I've had enough, I will pick my games if i can be bothered! ( The Wife says she heard it all before).
I will be as long as they don't hike the price up or anything. I'm not expecting a shift in attitude from the board, but it will be nice to see how good Simoes for eg. can get with more game time. Hope a Struber ditches the diamond though.
My problem is that if they repeat the early bird then this won't be an option, unless you want to pay the inflated price. I really hope they see sense and don't force people into an early bird decision by the end of April, when this dismal season is still being played out. It's the thing most likely to stop me renewing, as I'm not paying a higher price than this year for League One football.
Wow, well done its in the blood (even though iam not from Barnsley). Felt like this before but it's seems much worse this season, if only - - -
That’s just first team football in the 50’s you watched the reserves on Sat afternoon til your dad thought you were old enough to go to 1st team games.
I’ve just made a similar post after not seeing this. I sold my season ticket in November, and I don’t plan on getting another for the next few years at least. I only go to the games at Oakwell now when i go for nowt in my pals box. I will not put one single penny into that club anymore. Its only away games for me.
No. Total disconnect, will see this season out then that's it after 52 years. Seen far worse on the pitch, far far worse, but never anything like this off the field. Club statement about this bloody virus, then no soap. Just one example of how pathetic things have become. It's not all Barnsley's fault, it's football in general, but I'm not financing it any more after putting many thousands into BFC over the years. The sad thing is, I love the people around me in the Ponty, and I'll miss them. But I suspect many of them won't be there anyway next season.
So should no fans go to away games? I don’t think my one off payment of 25 quid to bloody Doncaster rovers is going to boost them. however, my son usually gets all the kits including keeper shirts and hoodies, that’s well over 300 quid. Then my season ticket at close to 400, then I usually buy the home and away shirt for our holidays, that’s another 100 quid. Then the Mrs has a season ticket, hers is cheaper cos she’s in the pointy, think it was 340 quid? She buys the home shirt too, 50 quid. Then on top of this there’s the food inside the ground. The club probably receives around 1500 quid off me every season, and that’s just one person... we have close to 11k season ticket holders and the vast majority will spend as much as I have.
Crikey that's some coinage, i honesty don't think these owners have the foggiest how we supporters feel - nor care. I can see where you're coming from having read this.
If this board is a representation of the masses they will find out only too well before next season without a huge change in their own behaviour as owners. I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for these ten-Bob billionaires. They are making strangers of Barnsley fans with each passing month and it was all completely avoidable imho with the correct sustained communication. But they cannot truly care for this to have not happened in my opinion. F**k em!
