I've never been a fan of Manchester United, but I have to say, I enjoyed watching the tail end of their two nil win over near neighbours City this afternoon. The atmosphere inside Old Trafford was absolutely electric. Today's result means that Liverpool only need two more wins now to secure their first ever Premiership title.
This board would have been in meltdown if our keeper had chucked both goals away like that , the attempt to save the first was pathetic, the second error beyond stupid!
Since when has that stopped the media from criticising Stones? I knew he wasn't playing, I was being a little flippant.
Oh, I see now. Not that I followed the match, just heard on Talksport he wasn't playing. You made a good point though
Stones wasn't even on the bench. The starting line up was different from usual re- no De Bruyne and Walker and Silva joined Mahrez on the bench. My lad was telling me today that because City have no chance of retaining their title this season, applications for tickets for their remaining home games has tailed off. He wants to see if he can get some tickets for the Euro return leg against Real Madrid, because my grandson wants to see them play, so he's got two tickets for next to nowt for Wednesdays Premiership home game against Arsenal. This season was the first ever that my grandson has had a season ticket at Oakwell. I thought with the sudden interest in Manchester City he was changing his allegiance, but my lad assures me there's no chance of that. Once a Red always a Red and despite the disappointments of this season, they will be renewing their Season passes in time for August.
Just had a look at their ticket plan.... all available tickets are about £50. If that's so then I'm not surprised interest is waning. How would one go about getting a ticket for Real Madrid ?
My lad is going to enquire at the ground on Wednesday evening Mr B. Once he finds out, I will let you know via the BBS.
City play twice before Liverpool's next game. If they lose either of them then Liverpool will be playing for the title next time out, at Everton, of all places.
For my ex-workmates and close friends who support Liverpool, I will be delighted when they win the title. They have played some good stuff this season and it's good for the game to see the honours being shared round, instead of one team dominating the competition season in and season out. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, but I also like Jurgen Klopp, particularly for the respect he seems to have for his players. He's definitely seems to have established a unique rapport and appears to be held in very high esteem by the majority of Reds supporters.
I was there today - not as a fan of either team (particularly not City, who I can’t stand) but it was absolutely electric in the stadium. Probably one of the best five atmospheres I’ve been in anywhere in the world.
Atmosphere were rubbish lmao maybe towards end they piped up. Var seems to look after that mob well. Utter scum
Lol. It was bouncing the whole way through. And it didn’t look after them that well when Fred got booked for being taken out in the area did it?
