Cheltenham starts tomorrow I have had a look at the fields I'm not giving you tips the horses I am stating are my fancies I'm not going into why I fancy them where they last run and who against etc, most are each way with big prices anyway just have a look and if their your fancies you know I also fancy them.

    Champion Hurdle :- Ballyandy 20/1 e.w.
    Supreme Novices Hurdle :- Edwardstone 20/1 e.w.
    Grand Annual :- lisp 20/1 e.w. Greaneteen 7/1 win.
    Coral cup :- Protekorat 14/1 e.w. Canardier 16/1 e.w.
    Albert Bartlett :- Harry Senior 12/1 e.w.
Ultima Handicap Chase :- Vinndication 7/1 win.
My nap of the week Clan Des Obeaux in the Gold Cup 7/1.

All the best and remember don't bet heavy as 9 times out of 10 the bookie wins.

Unless you’re betting on the first race with sky bet, ALL WEEK. If your horse loses you get your money back as cash (up to 10 pound) so those with sky bet accounts don’t waste this opportunity. If luck isn’t on your side just use the same 10 pound all week and withdraw it on Saturday. No brainier!

Think you may have interpreted the offer wrong to my understanding if you lose on the 1st race on the 1st day you get your money back up to a tena but for the rest of the week there are special offers on the 1st race for the remaining days that means it is not necessarily the same offer applies, these offers have yet to be seen. Please read it again and see what you think.

Sky Bet in the first race are allowing a tenner on a horse and if it finishes 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th you get your cash back.

I think the offer last year gave you money back wherever your horse finished, so they have got more tight.

It's only a first day offer with different ones for the other days.

Well I'm very much with you on Greaneteen and Vinndication, Mr Colliers. As for the Gold Cup, I looked this one up and down and originally had it marked down as unfathomable. However, previous Cheltenham form often comes to the fore and I take Al Boum Photo to retain his crown. His one run this year (at Tramore on New Year's Day) was nearly half a stone better than anything else posted all season by his rivals on Friday. Two of his last three performances have produced quite exceptional time performances, and he has been trained with this one race in mind. He is the pick of Paul Townend, Willie Mullins' stable jockey, and I rate his chance as considerably better than the 22% implied by his price of 7/2. Paul Nicholls has been very bullish about Clan Des Obeaux, but his performance figures, even in winning a second King George on Boxing Day leave him short of Al Boum Photo.

SkyNoBet are a waste of space for me. They restrict my stakes due to past dealings, and I'm not giving them the benefit of my selections in order to bet the odd quid that they allow me. Have to say in general I ignore all the glitzy 'offers'. They're a distraction from the real business, and are all aimed to get you to bet on what you might have left alone otherwise.

For what it's worth (possibly not much by 5.30 pm!) my picks today are:

    Cheltenham Day One

    1.30 Asterion Forlonge
    2.10 Notebook
    2.50 Vinndication
    3.30 Epatante
    4.10 Benie Des Dieux
    4.50 Galvin
    5.30 Carefully Selected

Whwre have you seen 20s for Lisp? He's an 8s poke at best?

Today is interesting. I like The Conditional and Beakstown in the handicaps. The Champion Hurdle is a shocking renewal.

    Yeah you're right, apologies.

Today is money back if you lose but tomorrow is 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th.

Lisp has been no bigger than 10s or 12s for weeks now. I follow the ante post markets religiously, and he's never been that big.

Soft ground today, so keep an eye out.

William Hill paying 7 places in the first for each way thievery.

With that in mind, I've stuck a few quid each way on Allart at 20s for the 7 places.

Also, Cornerstone Lad in the Champion. 25s currently, but you may get 33s if you shop around for this soft ground grade one winner.

Lisp was 20/1 with Hills, Unibet and Betfred until about 28th/29th January. Shortened after that.

That's what I mean by weeks - there's no way he was 20s last week. I can't fancy it though, but not at the current price.

You fancy anything else this week?

Edit: I wrote he's never been that big, which is obviously incorrect. I meant recently.

I think some of the pundits are trying to put up big 'value' punts and ignoring the obvious. Thus I think Epatante and Al Boum Photo have put up by some way the best performances of the season and I'd be with them. I also like the potential of Champ in the RSA, although plenty are against him. I like Solo in the Triumph and Minella Rocco (Foxhunters), Greaneteen (Grand Annual) and Column Of Fire (Martin Pipe) on Friday. I think Third Time Lucki (Champion Bumper, Wednesday) might be closer to Appreciate It than implied and he is still available at 20's with some firms.

My account in sky bet has been randomly suspended without warning, put 2 bets on for Cheltenham last night and then i find today it has been suspended. I rarely use it to be honest so it seems a strange move.

I had to re-validate both my Coral and Ladbrokes accounts recently. Are your card and address matching up. They can suspend your account over that.
