Might be a bit controversial but I don’t think there’s a lot of immediate value in our squad at this moment in time apart from Woodrow . Browne, Chaplin ,Thomas and Simoes miles away from finished product and their value would imo be in the future rather than the immediate .
1. Following their purchase of the club the new owners talked about their desire to grow commercial income to enable greater investment into the team. They also talked about how their previous experience and contacts would support that objective. Can you tell us about a) the activities that have been undertaken to do that to date, b) results to date i.e. how much has commercial income grown and c) future plans. 2. (Building on other posters questions about the damage to the relationship with long term supporters) If we are relegated (I think that has to be stated as otherwise he'll just say he believes we'll stay up) How many season ticket holders does he expect to lose next season and what is the plan to minimise this figure? Is he concerned about that the loss of some supporters may be permanent?
Doesn’t mean they won’t sell them! I can’t see Simoes going, nor any real interest in Thomas. Chaplin could be sold, Brown possibly. Woodrow is probably already aware who is buying him, I’d say the same for Mowatt if his form hadn’t fallen off a cliff.
Considering both Chaplin and Woodrow are double figure goal scorers I would be amazed if enquiries didn’t happen irrelevant of our league position. What we have to hope for is we get good money and that money is put into the team in the correct manner.
Gally ask him this. With all the negativity expressed by BBS users could the directors announce there is a risk of coronavirus at Oakwell and lock everyone out ?
Ask him what he thinks his Barnsley legacy is so far as it would be genuinely interesting to hear what he thinks he has brought to the club that he can be proud of in the time he's been here.
I’m not saying they won’t but the only queue imo would be for Woodrow , there may be suitors for the others but I doubt any team would fall over themselves to put high bids in . Maybe a couple of clubs for Chaplin and maybe Mowatt but as has been said the drop of form from him may put them off . I could be wrong but I think any bids would be no where near what we want for the others and the reason they could be sold cheap is wages with the FFP . But if I were a Championship supporter of another club the only one I’d be hoping we’d splash the cash is Woodrow the others I’d speculate cheeky bids .
Woodrow is the only prize asset. Mowatt is captaining a team to relegation without many goals or assists to his name. Chaplin after a purple patch is back to his usual standard. The assists have dried up for Brown who never chips in with goals. Of our so called big four only Cauley could feel annoyed if he's stuck playing league one next season.
Mowatt is joint 9th in the league for assists with 7 - and he would have considerably more if he was allowed to cross the halfway line. I agree his form has suffered recently, but it's no coincidence that this is whilst playing out of position.
Dear Mr Dane, if nobody wants to buy any of our players during the summer break, assuming we are relegated, what happens to the financial side of the plan as we would still have players on championship wages (I know, that's a bloody hoot) in the third division and an immediate fall in income all round. That therefore would be a lose - lose situation.
Are we looking to get new sponsors in. Is the club any further with Barnsley council regarding buying there share. any chance of desso playing surface in summer .
I wish him the best of luck after reading this thread! Hope is isn't going expecting an east night! It's going to be like another interview, this
According to the fa/football league it would. According to Paul Conway in the Scottish media it would but he hoped to get dispensation to get round that.
To be perfectly honest he DESERVES a very very uncomfortable night. It's just a shame that the cowards who employee him don't have the ******** to join him in the firing line.
