Not a happy bunny tonight. Dipped 1-0 away to St Mirren. They are now four points adrift at the foot of the table.
Its 10th or 14th though if the season started since Struber took over I think, is that right? I also think we'll finish with more than the 41 points that saw us relegated on the last day of the season last time out. Shows how different it could have been with one or two changes to the recruitment policy. If you take the cup wins out of Stendel's Hearts results, he's had a very poor return. Yes there was a bit of chaos to sort out when he got there, but the fact Hearts are languishing so far adrift of the Hamilton's and Ross County's of the league is criminal. Failures throughout that club.
The flip side to that stat is that when Struber was appointed we were in 24th place, 7 points from safety. 20 games later, we're still in 24th place, 7 points from safety. And he's brought in his own players in January. PPG doesn't matter a jot - the league table matters.
Page 3 onwards...same **** different day http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/is...at-we-will-stay-up.289251/page-3#post-2436121 You're comparing points differences against a completely different number of games, as pointed out by posters. Flawed.
I love the way Gordon Owen pops up on all the negative threads about Daniel. Don't recall the same on the cup threads or Derby matches. Relegation in both cases is obviously his sole fault!
Nope. Not whilst these frauds are in charge. Will be the first time since 95 (I think). I'm not giving them a penny more of my money.
Oh, you're on about Hearts, well l couldn't give a **** about what Stendel does to be honest. I was commenting on the Barnsley manager, not Stendel - and the "were still on the same number of points from safety argument" it's a flawed argument that's answered well by Farnham in the other thread. To be fair it's a compliment to Struber that hes still that many points in touch after a further 20 odd games, going on averages when he took over we should have been 15 points a drift by now.
