We're also exporting the exposure to the virus by the actions of Ryanair, who are STILL flying people to Fuerteventura despite the place being in full lockdown with no bars, restaurants or normal shops open, no beaches open, no-one allowed out except to shop in a depleted supermarket with little on the shelves (on your own), and Jet 2 already having cancelled all flights a couple of days ago.

People calling Ryanair to cancel will not get a refund. Until the government stops them, Ryanair will continue to take planes full of tourists to a place in hell where they will be locked up for 2 weeks in a hotel if they're lucky.
The islanders are in meltdown and are begging people not to come, just read the forums.
Good old Ryanair-risking the lives of many in the pursuit of profit.

You might have it, but you simply might have normal flu. Keep yourself isolated, drink plenty of water and take paracetamol, there's not much else you can do, even if you was diagnosed with it , it's basically self medication at home and get thru it.

Loads of vitamin C also. Fruit up. Citrus fruits & berries very good. Cooked tomato also. Raw is a bit dodgy for over 55's. Acid. Feel like dropping a rave tune now.

Im fortunate in that I'd already seen the doctor about cough 3 weeks ago - when it definitely was just a cough - it got worse the normal coughing up green mucus and I was allowed to see him again and get antibiotics which appear to have helped but now I still have an annoying cough but that is probably just the after effects. Last week the doctor said if its still there in another 2 weeks we will arrange a chest x-ray but I suspect if its still just annoying rather than getting worse that probably wont happen. Not sure I even want to go near a chest X-ray machine at the moment anyway if I can avoid it

Is there a championship prize? Or maybe a bye to the World Cup finals?

My grandson (10) has shown symptoms today, so the whole family is self isolating. As we were in contact with him on Saturday so are we. If we are self isolating, testing it won't improve matters. There is no cure or vaccine. If you have it you are extremely unlikely to die unless you already have a serious illness. If you have it you will be better it in a few weeks and it highly unlikely you'll get it again. It is totally impractical to test everyone with symptoms, we don't have sufficient resources. If you're tested positive anyway you will be told to stay at home in isolation. Self isolation is the most effective way if limiting the spread.

How do they know how many cases they have in Norway if they aren’t testing? Can you give me any FACTS?

Point is that we are being told that in East Anglia there are hardly any cases. I see people hugging, shaking hands and ignoring advice because it isn’t here seemingly. If there aren’t any cases here what’s all the fuss about? No testing no FACTS.

I’m not singling out Norway, it’s just that in the i newspaper this morning they had the Norwegian infection rate marginally below the UK. Given the difference between the population of Norway (5.638 million) and the population of the UK (66.4 million) I find it hard to believe and I wonder why.

Apart from that, you are right I know f*** all about Norway.

They are only testing Health personell and the critically sick! I know this because many of my friends have self quarantined, contacted the doctprs and been told to stay at home for 14 days! It is also the info from our NHS!
They will soon be stopping us leaving Town borders! I’ve just finished 14 days quarantine, so off to work today! Probably for the last time in months

    Good luck and good health

4 or 5 weeks ago I went down with cold/flu like symptoms a few days later my wife was the same, then my daughter who had visited when we had this. We all said we had never had owt like it as far as we could recall . So I also wonder if we had the cov 19. I also wonder how many have been infected and gone through and not known what it was, not just UK but worldwide. The figures could be much higher than whats actually recorded.

There is no cure. Most cases will recover will recover without medical intervention. If you have severe breathing difficulties you will be admitted to hospital.

I am hearing more stories like this one. My sister and brother-in-law had something like you describe a dry cough and fever and it took them three weeks to get over it - that was about mid January before the first confirmed case in UK. I think this thing has been around for a while and there are many many more cases than reported.

Has the WHO advised mass testing?
