Does boris and co actually know what they are doing?

This worrying story came up on my FB page.

A work colleague of mine has had to pick his young son up from primary as he has high temperature, sweating etc

I said he should phone Nhs and get him tested for Covid 19 as he has asthma also.

Latest update is that he phoned Nhs and was told that they are ONLY testing their own staff and that his whole family ( 4 in total) should immediately self isolate for 14 days regardless of any medical results!!

If this is the scenario throughout the UK where high numbers of people are forced to self isolate based on no actual evidence then I’m afraid our economy is simply away to drop off the edge of a cliff!

And Boris thinks the NHS will be able to cope?
Don’t even have resources to have a drive through swab testing facility at Ninewells !

I personally got a text from my doctor’s practice yesterday saying not to appear at the practice but phone to make arrangements. Today I got a text saying not to even bother phoning. Place seems to be in shut down mode.

 

Same problem I'm having Ian. Trying to get my head round it all. A lot is contradictory. How can you self isolate for 2 weeks if you don't know you have it? What if you return to work and start coughing again?

My trust are stating as we're essential workers we can't self isolate due to underlying medical conditions. We can only self isolate if we show symptoms. If we start to show symptoms with underlying medical conditions we might already be fecked. Also do you self isolate just for the 14 days or 12 weeks if you're still alive?

I've e-mailed occupational health and asked if I die can Laura sue the trust for going against government guidelines.

And what is exactly your point here. We are still at the end of the day ultimately under this Tory govt and their decisions

 

My daughter knows a woman who's son is in the army, they are already being deployed round the country to enforce stay at home orders.

It tickles me looking at the hoarders filling their trolleys in the supermarket and spending all their money when eventually there is going to be some sought of lock down and the state will bring us supplies.

Absolutely Brush. My friends son has been given anti bacterial germ warfare uniform. Heard they might be on the streets

 

He can’t even keep his own Fatha in line so rest of us are fooked .
We were one of the last countries to get it in large numbers with China , Italy and others all pre warning and the clown didn’t even bother setting emergency information out till it’s too late.
He couldn’t even be bothered to face the country while it had taken hold and even then under pressure from other Tory MPs .
He needs to get rid of that Arrogant waste of space Commie out of any influence and start listening to real people .

Rumours that one of the victims today was a junior doctor and two others are in intensive care.

 

My mam is nearly 90, has all the symptoms, rung 111 and was told just to self isolate. No test, diagnosis, treatment nothing. More or less keep your fingers crossed. Disgusting.
