As most people (around 90% or more) subscribe to BT & Sky Sports to watch live football. Now that all they're showing is a load of tosh should we all get a refund.

Absolutely. (The football authorities are pantsing it.) Sky and other providers will reduce their funding/sponsorship due to the lack of revenue from advertising. Which I assume the providers will withhold. Yet we have to request a suspension.
A main reason that the football authorities are bending over backwards to appease and said there is no time limit to finish the season. Nowt to do with the health and well-being of the population. MONEY IS GOD.

Excuse me! Would you care to rephrase that. Then again, do I get royalties?

Surely if it was all about money they would get the season finished as quick as possible, so that they will also get the money for next season?

As it stands, their insistence to finish the season could mean that next season has to be cancelled or pushed back, meaning they would lose a massive amount of money.

I’ve suspended my Sky Sports through Virgin this morning. On a contract but got it taken off for 3 months initially. Assume contract will start back up when the sport returns....eventually. I’d imagine other providers will be doing the same.

on the week-end BT put on classic match presented by Brian Moore from 1974..... totally enjoyed it. I am sure the BBC could put on some classic MoTD from their archives on a sat/sun night. I would watch that NP.

But there would be a public outcry and the players would resist playing just to get it over and done with. My belief is that they should cut their losses given the magnitude of the issue. Then start afresh, whenever that may be. What if it runs into the start of next season or beyond. Do you then start the new season straight away. My point is if it can be resolved by mid July then fair enough. But they seem to have made the decision to finish the season regardless of a time frame. As stated lots of players contracts end 30th June. Hardly good preparation to finish the season.

Don’t forget SKY will stand to lose a lot of money as sponsors would want their money back, I would guess that would encourage them significantly to want the games played

This point about players contracts is going to be pivotal but I haven't seen anything that even begins to address it.

I don't see how it makes any difference. Players come and go during the season in January and it's no different really.

It's also the right thing to do.
The season doesn't have a deadline, it's 80% complete. Makes no sense to chalk **** on it when it can be resumed at any point.

It isnt just player contracts though. Kit deals, sponsorships etc also tend to end on 30th June. All sorts of issues in the way of extending beyond there.

Not really. With sponsorship the right thing to do is to simply continue the sponsorship until the remaining few games are complete as the sponsors have had no exposure

Didn’t realise you could do that. Will ring em up first thing. Was gunna just cancel it as I’m out of term with them but then you have to sign up to 12 months on lesser package which isn’t great when you want to put it back on in a few months time.
