If only we could have someone who could lift a whole country out of their slumbers and see a better way for things to be done.

Patriotic, strong, always does the right thing. Reliable. Reputation impeccable. Puts the needs of his country first.

Perhaps if his trial delivers the not guilty verdict we could have good ol' Alex Salmond back, to save us all.

Well I hope they are in the bin now. But I’m more concerned about the fact that you have brought a girl up all wrong and to end up supporting Liverpool.
    Now that is a crime

Who gives a ****. From what I’m hearing from the mrs there’s very good reason to be scared of this situation, a reason why myself and my household have been nowhere near my mother for 3 weeks now.
Whatever your political persuasion, the rug headed ****** has spoken 100% sense all week. If we all implement what they’re telling us then perhaps someone’s elderly relative who bumped into someone
who’s pushed into the elderly only hour at the supermarket who was at the pub
who bumped into the vicar who was on the bandit
that big mick the unbeknown virus carrier had touched
    just may survive

You're still labouring under the misapprehension that this is going to do anything. That it's going to save lives from the virus. It isn't. We had a chance to save society. We've chosen not.

Not a time for sarcasm mate. Not remotely funny but think if Nicola Sturgeon was invited to take a seat at the big table we might move on.
As for Salmond. I’m not sure about how the verdict will go. His word v lots of women. No witnesses of alleged offences. So he most possibly will receive the Scottish verdict of not proven.

Clutching at straws again Ian. Imagine how your chosen one - Jeremy would be dealing with this catastrophe.

It wasn't sarcasm. Just a response to the apparent need to permanently slag Boris off. Whatever he does.

And often bring his personal life into the arena too.

Have you drawn your own conclusions upon whether Mr Salmond is a sexual predator?

Or are you happy to have him hang his hat on the fact that there are no other witnesses?

That's really worrying because I just know that business owners who are struggling but CAN afford to keep people employed will now simply choose not to because it saves them money and those who lose out are employees who only get 80% pay. Had they had to top up the wages it would have given them more reason to keep people employed as they make a decision. 100% in return for 40 hours or 20% in return for 0. Now this 100% or free and I just know which some will choose and why.

Well it does not look good mate but the lack of witnesses will help him. As the judge informed the jury they must come to a decision formed from evidence and be beyond doubt which I don’t think they can. So unproven looks likely.
As for Boris do you think that man is actually competent enough to run the country to the benefit of all and not just his in crowd.
I don’t and I do blame him for lots that has gone on even before he got the top job. A liar and deceitful individual is my opinion of him. Never to be trusted.

I was reading earlier that it's thought it might be connected to a stag do in Spain. When they returned one of them drank in a Birmingham pub with a group of 'old boys'. If true it illustrates the point of social distancing / isolating.
