I'm worried about how many of these health workers will die, particularly the ones they're begging to give out of retirement
I’ve been critical of the Tories, I’ve been critical of the government and their response to this virus. I think they are now getting a handle on it and I’m optimistic. What I can’t fault in any of this is Rishi Sunak. I know that what he’s announcing is not just his decision, but he’s a fantastic figure head and speaker. He’s one of those people that just has a calming effect when he speaks. I wish he was the PM at this time, more than anybody else I see in the commons. If you look on Twitter, he’s getting praise from across the house, but also from the wider public.
Thanks, that’s kind of you. Perhaps you could shed some light on the utter selfishness of the levels of panic buying we’ve seen? I would have thought, as a nation we’d have more sense and self respect not to be so ridiculous.
Well he is new so he probably won’t be one of those Tory MPs that’s voted to slash cut and sell the NHS last ten years but at the same time he’ll have been at their conferences whooping and hollering with delight at those that have .
No help on corporation tax as yet. F-all as yet for 5 million people basically. The self assessment tax, which also applies to people that are incorporated still needs to be paid back. I'm sorry, but it's OK for the big companies, bugger all for the small fry.
Not at all. Just wondering what your thoughts were. Please don’t compare me with Trump, that’s the worst insult possible.
I'm entitled to a 3k loan & I need to start paying back in a month. Not wanting to be argumentative, but don't you think i haven't looked at it in detail?
I’m sure you have, I was just pointing that out as was announced today and you might not have seen it, was just hoping it might of been useful to you.
THe "grants" (loans) were announced earlier in the week. They deferred interest to 12 months from 6 months today. The interest is not a big issue with base tate being 0.1%. It is all bluster & bravado regarding the people at the bottom of the pile in this. EDIT May I add 15 subcontracted DJs work for me. 8 are full time. We are all looking for jobs, so there won't be anything to come back to in 12 months. It will be gone.
As far as I was aware only the £3k one was mentioned earlier in the week, the £10K came today? Anyways we are splitting hairs on that detail and it’s not really that relevant, as I said I was hoping you weren’t aware and by mentioning it, it might have helped you. The comment was not intended to cause an argument over purely with good intention.
Well here there’s some reading of what you’ve missed https://www.itv.com/news/2019-08-02...r-budget-to-leave-hospitals-crumbling-labour/ https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp....ct/25/boris-johnson-conservatives-nhs-funding
