Don't worry. Laura (asthmatic, immuno suppressed, organ transplant recipient with rare disease patient) & I (diabetic with high blood pressure) are both regarded as being vulnerable and high risk, especially Laura. Therefore we're self isolating, leaving Crystal to look after us. This means she's having to stay off work as a community care assistant. I'm certain that once we die, then we can no longer be accused of skiving and being a burden to the country.
fellow postie, things looking grim, no social distancing indoors & still working shoulder to shoulder with others, no hand sanitizer , some staff eating in scruffy vans! honestly if an MP or reporter could go in undercover they would be astounded at RM policies right now
None of the above - I'm still off sick from my cycling accident in January, sick-note runs out next monday but my doctor has promised to renew it because of my dizzy spells (I'm waiting for referral to the neurologist - might be waiting some time for that). I work for BCA who have announced the cessation of live auctions but I won't rush back to work, I take images of vans, including damage shots which requires getting up close and looking at all angles - wouldn't be great for me at the moment.
I'm retired. Lucky enough I was never ever made redundant and probably am one of the rare breed that can honestly say that over a career spanning fifty two years involving five different employers, apart from 12 months, I truly enjoyed every year of my working life. During this worrying time, my heart goes out to those who's livelihoods might be under threat, especially those who are self employed. I truly hope that everything works out for the best for everyone. Keep safe and try to stay well folks.
Working regardless at my place of work throughout the crisis unless I become unwell or have any symtoms (or any family member has symptoms).
When it comes to people taking everything seriously and doing all they can to protect themselves I think everyone knows that you and your family would be one of the first doing all they could to protect themselves so don't think that my comments about the vulnerable who just carry on as normal would include yourself in any way. I also don't think anyone would ever consider any of you to be skiving or a burden. Well some would but they're absolute bellends who lick toilet bowls. I sincerely hope that you're entire family are ok and stay safe but as I said above if anyone is going to be safe because they've taken appropriate measures then it's you
I've always loved you, too. Laura's continuing her Masters' studies from home and I'm doing what I do best. Sitting on the settee, watching the television!
Still at work. Collecting and disposing of clinical waste for Barnsley Council. In me own van from 8pm-3pm. Council have given us various cleaning products to look after our cab.
similar story to you, I’m a courier also classed as a key worker. We had 30 rounds not go out on Sunday due to couriers calling in sick. our depot is being deep cleaned every 7 days, or so the management are claiming. We are also supposed to receive hand sanitizer, gloves and masks daily... that still hasn’t happened either. don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to still be working but I’m starting to become concerned. Every store online is having mass sales which mean we’ll be extremely busy during a major pandemic. I fully understand that the economy needs to keep going, but how much longer can we keep going? The risk is enormous for couriers and posties.
What is her master's degree in again? I remember it was something that made me think wow that sounds hard but can't remember what it is. Have you seen anything good n TV that you recommend?
Porn Star. Works dropped off a bit, it's long but it dont stretch 2m, more like a pan handle than a broomstick. There's still a few roles left for a doctor and nurse scene but most of the face masks have gone missing.
After getting her degree in Forensic Science, she's doing her Masters in Analytical Bio Science. Currently watching reruns of CSI, but I've really enjoyed Hey Duggee!
Laid off until further notice (Estate Agent), full pay until end of month, half pay April then who knows, they are looking into this Govt 80% scheme.....work for a firm of solicitors...
Still at work sort of, on a rota. Working from home sort of, doing bits and bobs, being accessible via email and on call if needed. Boarding guide dog full time and doing extra duties at home relating to that. Can I have an option for all that please?
