That is not how it works. The danger of the virus mutating notwithstanding, Isolation deprives the virus of a host which it needs to survive and replicate. When it infects a host it becomes a kill or be killed scenario. Either the body rejects it and antibodies wage war on the invader and kill it or the invader kills the host. If the virus does not have another host to pass onto before either scenario occurs it just dies. Therefore after a certain period the host is no longer infectious or a risk to other people. It is not like bacteria many of which are self sufficient organisms and many can often survive dormant for prolonged periods and only reproduce when ideal conditions allow. Given the fact that any lockdown can not be 100% watertight the real reason for isolation though is to slow the spread so as not to overwhelm the Health system AND also to allow a vaccine to be developed and mass produced for any future outbreak.
I think the clue in the link is the word "denies"!! Also.. "Downing Street rejected the article and called it ‘a highly defamatory fabrication’, with a spokesman saying the claims about Cummings’ viewpoint had not been put to No 10 in advance and contained ‘invented’ quotes." So the proof is an article that states the above in your mind 'proves he said that!! You really believe everything that you read in the papers as long as it fits your political agenda don't you!!
Although curiously it was the Tory, Johnson supporting Times that printed it. It was curious that for a week or two they spoke of herd protection, then they came out and said that wasn't what they were doing. Plus Cummins is the sort of **** you'd easily imagine saying such a thing, especially with his pseudo-science views on eugenics.
imagining someone could have said something is one thing, posting on here, as Marlon has done, that someone actually said something based on unconfirmed newspaper articles with a quote from an "unnamed senior Conservative" is something entirely different. The Times is no different than any other newspaper as it needs to increase its circulation. " Unnamed sources in Government" or "unnamed ex-Cabinet Minister" seems to be an increasing phenomenon these days when it comes to reporting controversial unconfirmed allegations lacking material proof. Its almost as if they are making stuff up
Or indeed ‘correct’. but you’re entitled to your opinion - even if it is the opposite of all the medical experts. I’d like to see your list of qualifications - as you have the opposite view to the WHO and you believe you’re correct: you must have some pretty good credentials.
What, the WHO are saying that individuals who downplay the seriousness of the virus to healthy young adults are personally culpable for ‘millions of people being off work’.? Can you provide a link to where they say that? Only I haven’t read it. Thanks.
No they’re saying it’s serious - you’re saying it isn’t. But you’re a bit ‘flat earth’ on this, can’t decide if you’re daft, genuinely incorrectly believe you’re a genius or you’re just a troll.
You said, and I quote, that it was SuperTyke’s fault - personally - his, and no one else’s - he was personally culpable because he (factually) stated that the risk of death to healthy young adults was extremely low - that ‘millions of people will be off work’. It’s a retarded statement. Utterly, utterly retarded.
Where have I said the situation isn’t serious? Now I see why you’re arguing so vehemently against me as you clearly lack the basic comprehension skills to understand what I’m saying. To be fair, it’s not surprising like - you live in Donny.
I said that it’s the fault of people ... go back and read it. Because those people are pushing the belief that young fit people aren’t at risk so can go about their lives. the government advised people to stay home. And if that had worked we wouldn’t have needed to raise the advice to enforced instruction. the reason that happened is down to dick heads ignoring the advice. They ignored it because of the other voices telling them they were safe.
