Cycled around town. Didn’t stop - straight through. Just to see what’s happening. Sprinkling of people about. Alhambra Centre open - I didn’t go in but I would imagine most shops are shut - there must be food shops in there. Two police vans in the centre and police patrolling centre. Police talking to Greggs in Peel Square (?). Fruit and veg stalls open on streets - food market will be open tomorrow. M&S open. Boots and Superdrug - one out / one in. Halifax - one out / one in. Saw some older individuals that shouldn’t have been there. Only groups that I saw - that weren't a family group - are groups of foreign individuals whose first language isn’t English. Not sure whether these individuals understand or just don’t care.
Unfortunately I didn’t see him. Last time I saw him was in Alhambra - he had his family with him. So I thought I’d better not say owt. He was wearing a fabulous winter coat tho.
Interesting that he picked all that up without stopping. Must have been circling around shops to see inside and count one out one in and then ask people their country of birth, if they spoke English or not and who they lived with. To be fair, if a strange guy started riding around me on a bike asking where I was born, what language I spoke and what my living situation is, I’d probably pretend to not speak English either.
They probably didn’t speak ba!ax so he couldn’t understand them . That’s just a joke in case anyone didn’t get it .
Keyboard warriors - you and BarnsleyReds - crawling out from underneath the sh.it pile yet again. Fooking grow up FFS !!!
spot on YT. -- they could have been Welsh speaking Taffs from Merthyr Tydfil visiting their Taff relative (me) in Gawber!
Did this really happen nudger? As said above, how could you possibly take in all that information on a quick ride around the centre without stopping? Just how close did you get to the people to know what language they were having a conversation in? How long was you circling the front door of superdrug to identify their policy of one in one out? How close did you get to the market door to read a sign whilst riding a bike past?
Tha wouldn’t get from Trans Pennine Trail up Oakwell Lane on a bike like that. Try cycling up Oakwell Lane.
Saw some older individuals that shouldn't have been there? Sorry - unless you are experiencing symptoms, or have had a letter from the NHS to tell you to self isolate then "older individuals" are free to get on their bikes and ride around town like you did, or go for a walk or run. They can go to the shops for food and for medical supplies.
