From my kids school We have been informed some parents have received an email stating: ‘As schools will be closing, if you're entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we'll make sure you're supported’. This is a scam email - do not respond, and delete immediately
Thieves over here stole 2000 masks from a hospital and others have been stolen from emergency vehicles. That's pretty low.
Apparently scroats have stolen hand gel, masks and gloves from ambulances and hospital wards here too. Deplorable behaviour.
I would never advocate the death penalty but it would make society so much better if these people could have fatal "accidents", such as accidently and tragically being hanged and then chopped up into bits.
Agree with all comments made thus far. Anyone preying on an old person or vulnerable members of our society are the lowest of the low. My wife's elderly Dad was targeted recently by a cold caller. Despite us repeatedly telling him never to divulge any information over the phone, he went into detail about savings, who he banks with etc. The thing that alarmed us most, was being asked if he lived alone. He was born at a time when you could leave your front door open and doesn't see bad in anyone and won't have it, that the guy on the phone could turn up on his doorstop at anytime.
That’s bad and very worrying mate. Hope your father in law can take instruction to be more suspicious of cold callers
