Tbf after the horrors of WW1 peace at almost any price was wanted by the vast najority of the country. And that was what Chamberlain tried to achieve.
Social distancing only ever reduces the risk. Its why people should be working from home where possible and only going out when absolutely necessary under the government strategy. Social distancing in an office environment is certainly going to have limited impact

Not sure about any price tbh Helen but no one wanted war . There was a massive campaign against fascism especially mosley who under Chamberlain was left to run riot . Even the Labour Party at the time wanted to stop Hitler and many thousands had already fought in Spain . Not wishing to rewrite history but with hindsight it was the right thing to do and imo a coalition maybe not in all govt depts but certainly heads together would be best . Ad I’ve said above he hasn’t covered himself or his govt in glory so far and there was dissenting voices even from his own party.
i've not got a problem with people being anti anything its called freedom of speech and democracy but to call someone "tory scum" and hope someone else really suffers goes against everything i was brought up to believe, theres enough hatred and vitriol in the world as it is but to say things like that in todays situation is just so wrong, ffs we all live on the same piece of dirt spinning through space
Course it is and as I’ve said a hundred time’s on here he had hindsight . China , Italy were his hindsight . Politicians fro all persuasions including Tory were telling the govt .and his first thought was a measly disgusting irrelevant budget .
Irrelevant of what he has or has not done and his political career, he is still a human being and has family. Anyone wishing ill on him it says more about them than the statement they make and is a real shame.
