With respect redrum. You said both parties have done their bit to privatise ( tend to agree on contracts being open to the private sector. eg cleaners maintenance etc ) . But Jeremy Corbyn is the only one I would have trusted to put the NHS back in total control of the state. provision of equipment will always be in the private sector. I also believe JC would have acted far quicker. Given the stories coming out as to how slow this government were to react. In full knowledge of the advice given out from other countries affected.

It would be hard to take back total control of the nhs with the pfi schemes that were brought in many years back like the ones at pontefract https://www.pontefractandcastleford...erfields-and-pontefract-hospitals-2264967?amp
Maybe corbyn would have done things differently but he is refusing to self isolate himself and he is over 65.

The biggest issue I'm guessing Titus. Is yes tell the union where you're at . But ( and may I add it's not happened to me ) I've spoken openly and even a work colleague said once after I'd said my piece. Pick thi P45 up ont way art. Some cases I've read about are horrendous in other companies where someone has been hounded out for speaking out. The company using anything they can think of to get shut. Some of those affected go to to tribunal and win their case. But although it's supposedly bannned. Blacklisting still exists. In one form or another. People are fearful of that.

Just as you want to respect the position of the PM the leader of the opposition needs to operate too. I am sure he wouldn't accept any preferential treatment anyway.

Id like to think that wouldnt happen in our Trust but im not sure. We have specialist whistleblowing people for things like this, for starters.

Hard but not impossible. Those contracts would have to be honoured or paid up. Admittedly difficult. But once the contract runs out it's either open to tender or brought back in house so to speak. Being outsourced to three companies in turn then brought back in house when those contracts ran out. Has made my retirement age come a lot later. Due to pension rights not being covered under TUPE. Would have finished aged 60 if that hadn't happened. Due to the current crisis (effect on pensions) looking like part time till 66.
Re Corbyn he's a vital role to play until the new leader is sorted. 3/4 weeks away. And is following all the government guidelines. I may not agree with his stance and he ought to be self isolating. Maybe he now will. Given his son has the virus and if he's been in contact.
    PS the link doesn't work.

Just this. Also, use people from the industries they are going to represent so they have a certain level of competence and experience.

I was happy to be known when i approached the executives because i truly felt they would listen to me (i'd been tipped off by another staff member who said one of the exec's would be interested in what i had to say): wasn't the case. It did however help to remove a manager that was destroying the fundamental values of the ward.
I'll have a word with our rep, will have to be ultra cautious though.
