Are those the adjusted ONS figures or the equivalent of the NHS figures for all those countries? None are good, but the "real" figure for the UK is probably 2-3000 higher at this stage, while the other countries might have reconciled their data. Its only yesterday I was arguing with someone (on Twitter) who said that Germany being 1000 deaths lower than the UK at the same stage did not show the benefits of the German testing regime.
I’m not claiming a govt cover up. Data isn’t an absolute it will change when the cause of death for people outside of hospital is determined. You are just downplaying something that should not be downplayed presumably due to financial concerns which I understand. Maybe to give you some focus. Mrs is part of a what’s app group for nurses they have just had communication from someone relatively senior saying that they expect a minimum 1000 deaths a day from now until the 17th. That hospitals will be advised that anyone calling 111 no matter how severe. The symptoms will be told to receive what treatment they can at home. That a third of those deaths will be u16s with no health conditions. That the mortuaries are full so I’ve rinks are being requisitioned. I’d expect a ramp up of all restrictions from tomorrow.
that’s what they are being told. Though again if they are basically taking no more hospital admissions then the numbers may or may not reflect that.
So 33% of daily deaths are now in the UK gonna be from a group of kids which hitherto have worldwide contributed a death % of less than.5%? Why would that be?
There's a big difference, I'm only rude and dismissive if someone is acting like a cn*t, where as you act like a cn*t to everybody.
I think the stress has got to his head. Seriously, I don’t know where to start with it. It’s the most ludicrously mental thing I’ve read through this whole process, and there’s been some truly utter ***** written.
He hasn’t said that at all though has he? He suggested it could be up to two thirds. That’s very different to saying he thinks it is two thirds.
I think it's a ******** voice recording that's going round. It says not to go out for any reason (even into your garden) and that you need to wash your hands every 20 minutes. Some of what it says will probably end up being true (we'll almost certainly have 1k+ deaths a day from tomorrow but I could have told you that), but a lot of it is scaremongering nonsense.
This was you analysing data earlier in the thread "I've just done a quick and dirty prediction based on an average of the % growth of the daily data so far - and we will almost certainly hit 1000 by Saturday and breach 2000 deaths in a single day next week. (and that's a conservative estimate)" By your maths we should have breached 1k last saturday and be on around 2k a day now.
Public Health England dismisses voice note as 'fake news' Marianna Spring, Disinformation and Social Media Reporter "A misleading voice note about the response to coronavirus circulating on WhatsApp has been called “fake news” by Public Health England. "The panicked voice note is by a woman who claims she works for “Secas” – the South East Coast Ambulance Service and is sharing inside information that “comes from Public Health England”. She goes on to suggest that further restrictions on movement are imminent and that a huge proportion of the people dying of coronavirus are healthy and young. Secas said that “the alarmist information being shared in the message is not correct”. "Prof Viv Bennett, chief nurse at Public Health England (PHE), told BBC News: “This is fake news, and we would urge people to ignore the message and not share it further.” "It’s difficult to tell how far the note has spread, but on Wednesday dozens of people have sent the note to BBC reporters, and Secas and PHE have both fielded numerous calls, indicating that the message is going viral on WhatsApp’s network." https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-52208591?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbc_live&ns_linkname=5e8df75342e2a4065b778252&Public Health England dismisses voice note as 'fake news'&2020-04-08T18:29:38.325Z&ns_fee=0&pinned_post_locator=urn:asset:89eada45-85f5-47de-9255-52837f44b69e&pinned_post_asset_id=5e8df75342e2a4065b778252&pinned_post_type=share "Disinformation and Social Media Reporter". What a job title that is.
First and only time I've been dragged into making a prediction - it was a mistake to do it and it won't be happening again. But since you've brought it up - how smug do you feel that I was wrong? Does it make you feel better about the 3000 people who died since I posted it? Do they not matter because it's not as many as I said?
And one of those who has died today was my old mate: a mate who would have expected to live for another 20, 30 maybe 40 years. Just a statistic eh?
Everyone who dies of anything any day is a statistic yes. I don't think anyone on this thread is dismissing the deaths as trival. I am truly sorry to hear you have lost a friend and presumably another family in mourning. Take care.
Did I say that? It's just when I said I didnt think they would go above 1k now as we have now been in lockdown over 2 weeks. You replied asif I was talking total rubbish, and came across as abit of a know it all you claimed the figures would soon be exceeding 2k a day which thank god shouldn't happen unless something goes drastically wrong.
