He may have criticised, but on the day of his announcement he also said they would work in a constructive manner with the Government over CV19.
Which to me was a positive statement of intent.

If he was to perform a Shadow function, Defence being the obvious, I suspect he'd have to relinquish being South Yorkshire Mayor. With elections being put on hold until we're on top of this virus that might cause problems.

Just been watching Sir Kier on " Peston" and listened to him outline his willingness
to work a lot closer with the elected Government in matters of national interest especially at this
    very worrying and trying time.

That is precisely the kind of rhetoric that will him endear him to those members of the electorate
who presently don't vote for the Labour Party. Very interesting to hear his comment on when live
League football might resume. His view was that it's going to be a very long long time.

Which tells you why new labour adopted it. Like I said earlier new labour turned " business friendly " to gain power .

    No he didn’t
    He asked for information

you’ve got to be fairly paranoid to see a question as criticism. Either that or you know that the answer would make the government look bad, so you’ve leapt forward a step.

Genuine question- were you aware of that fact because most people who bring up Labour and Pfi have no idea it was brought in by Major

An old thread bump rather than making another in his name, as this is going to be a wonderful watch.......

I was at Leeds Uni 82-85 and shared the same Grad Ceremony as Starmer. I was in the Labour Club remember his name but not him. I didn't vote for Starmer.
