    Whilst most police seem to be coping well in a difficult situation there are exceptions like this officer telling a family that their kids aren’t allowed to play in the garden. And that she can break the rules to tell them so. No idea where she got that one from. Impressed at how the family handled it. The Clarification from the force and apology is much more timely than for some cases of over the top policeing

    We went for a walk today as our once a day state allowed exercise. 40% of the vehicles we saw on the road were plod riding around. As if these numbnuts can be trusted with draconian measures ffs

    Worrying that the guy filming was the higher intellect in that exchange. They have apologised which is commendable but I don't think the officer is upto the job she is attempting to do.
    Or to put it another way....she's either abusing her powers or completely thick.

    She must have realised 20 seconds in that she was being made to look like an idiot.

    Covid-19 does stop when it gets to your garden anyway doesn't it? Or it would if uninformed tw@ts in a power trip didn't come walking into the garden

    If it doesn't stop when it gets to your garden where other people are not around then it won't stop when it gets to my open window either.

    What happens when you employ staff on the cheap, cut training and remove experienced officers. I speak from experience.
    This crisis was a perfect time for all forces to bring back quality community policing and build or rebuild relationships.Unfortunately Inspectors and more senior officers are nowadays nothing more than bean counters with no experience of proper plodding. Cost before actually being part of the community.

    The officer in the clip missed an opportunity to have a civilised chat with a family. She to my mind acted the way she did because of the area she was policing. More unconscious bias training required I think. Couldn't see this happening in Dore, Cawthorne or Bawtry.

    Mobile gardening vans would be a great idea. Load em up, folk no need to queue, go up when called individually, put some compost and feeder on it. There will be loads of plants dying if they're not bought and planted. Proper shame, love gardening helps keep the black dog from paying a visit. Nowt better than a day in garden working, shower and then sat out with a pint of Jaipur admiring my work.

    It was filmed in Eastwood which at best can be described as an ethnically diverse shithole.

    I train with two lads who are trainee coppers and their beat is there and they have had nothing but problems around there with the lockdown being blatantly disregarded.

    I suspect the copper in the video has been told to **** off and ignored most of the day and thought she had found an easier target to vent at.

    Nowt wrong with a healthy dose of cynicism...

    But what we see with our own eyes with no cuts is the WPC misrepresenting the law. Add the fact SYP have apologised and explained they've ensured it won't happen again and your assumption is hung out to dry.

    Shall we say certain communities in Eastwood have been allowed to act with impunity by the police and generally treat the law with contempt and have been doimg for years.

    **** all has changed even with the lockdown.
