Random question but does anybody know where I could source some breeze blocks in or around Barnsley for delivery? Seem to be like rocking horse **** at the moment.
Builder mate of mine was desperate, a couple of weeks ago. Tried everywhere and finished up buying the last six packs from Fenn Bros.at South Elmsall. But they told him they can’t get any more until manufacturers are open and producing again. Afraid you may well struggle. Same bloke also told me he saw 10 bags of Thistle Board Finish (plaster) that was out of date, sell on eBay for £170 for something that should cost £4.50/bag, and in date, in normal circumstances. If I wasn’t furloughed, mate, I would definitely be able to help you out, but the construction industry have been encouraged to carry on, but the supply chain has been frozen!!!
Just having an extension done. My builder's from Barnsley so will ask him. We had a few issues sourcing materials. He did say today the merchants were opening back up. While doing the brick work, he ran out of sand. He managed to find some but had to wait for the delivery (cant pick up any more). He nicked the sand from his Grandkids sand pit to enable him to continue. I've probably got plastic lego pieces holding together the brick work
Allendale Building Supplies at Hoyland are open for deliveries...might be worth a try. http://www.allendalebuildingsuppliesltd.co.uk
Cheers everyone! I've tried Steve Jones, they can't deliver until next week, will give Allendale a bell tomorrow. I found a place in Ponty that can deliver for a £50 charge, which makes it a bit pricey for the amount I want, but I might not have any other option in the current situation.
ive tried to post you a link to facebook marketplace as theres someone in mexboro advertising breeze blocks
