Beauty and ugliness are in the eye of the beholder (I know because I look at my ageing grotesqueness every day in the mirror). So, armed with my own personal views of ugliness, I would say based on overall demeanour, angular bad looks and poorly fitting hairstyle I would just about give the award to the indefatigable... ............ GWYN THOMAS ( he was lovely really of course before anyone takes this too seriously but I am fed up with reading about disease and death)
He did - one image I remember of Gwynn though when he signed. Some round me at the time nicknamed him Quasimodo but what a player he was
Bless him. Gwyn did look very rugged, but he was a tenacious little sod when he played for us. I never saw him ever give less than his best. https://www.leeds-fans.org.uk/leeds/images/GThomas1.jpg
I reckon I can trump you all lol.. I give you Eddie Loyden.... Look him up.. He could turn milk sour... My mother hung his photo over the mantle piece to keep the kids away from the fire
I was just going to say that we called him 'Quasi'! We always gave players nicknames, so I'm not sure now which ones were ours and which were everyone's.
Nobody in a red shirt has ever looked ugly. They may not be aesthetically beautiful but whoever pulls on the shirt is another star in the making.* * Excluding Paul Gibbs as he was not blessed with looks or any footballing ability
