    Correct me if im wrong ,he was offered a contract but i think his agent was holding out for 250 quid a week more.
    Dissapointed we couldnt come to compramise .

    I seem to remember he laid the blame for our woeful chesterfield performance solely at the feet of George and sent him straight out on loan while we lost match after match after match. He finally came back and we only lost 1 in the next 22 games he played.

    Yeah it was harsh to put the blame on William's that day the whole team were ***** we always looked 2nd best. I've been to that stadium twice and both times we played shocking and got convincingly beat.

    It is. He wasn't wanted and was offered a small contract as a squad player (despite being a pivotal player in our promotion). He asked for literally a couple of hundred pounds extra and was promptly released

    We replaced him with Yiadom, to be fair. Williams was good but Yiadom was streets ahead.

    Which is what i posted .
    Hence i wish the club and agent could have come to a compromise as he was a promising good young player who could improve with coaching.
    Fault due to club and agent .

    Exactly. Given the focus on developing young talent, I thought he fitted the bill perfectly. I was very disappointed when we let him go.

    Them ba5tards had nothing to play for but they came to wreck our season. And they would have done it were it not for Saint George.
