Trying to build the momentum from yesterday's Promotion Day 'celebrations' and start Monday off in a super positive light, we're almost there with the next four weeks of guests for 'Live from Redfearn's Bar'. We're hopeful this sees us out of the lockdown/isolation period, but if needed we'll keep it going for as long as we can and for as long as people enjoy it. - Tuesday 28th April with Viv Anderson - Thursday 30th April with Andy Ritchie AND Rick Holden - Tuesday 5th May with Mick McCarthy - Thursday 7th May with Jim O'Brien - Tuesday 12th May with Dale Tonge - Thursday 14th May with Brendan O'Connell - Tuesday 19th May with Josh Scowen - Thursday 21st May with Daydream Believers in 'A Making Of' style live discussion - Tuesday 26th May with Darren Barnard Obviously things change and everyone above is doing us a massive favour to help keep morale high during these crazy and testing times. Examples being that Josh Scowen can only do it when off from furlough, Dale Tonge might have something to sort out with Hearts nearer the time, and we haven't actually asked Darren Barnard yet (he's said yes, just not to that exact date). Will post for questions nearer the time to each session. We might make a bit of a song and dance about that one on Tuesday 5th May though ..........
I eagerly await the technical difficulties that will no doubt arise from you trying to handle a three way conversation with Ritchie and Holden
Excellent news , really love these interviews and insights . I’ve learned more about how the club works and thinks in these interviews they really are enlightening . well done for putting them together and for putting the right questions . I’m not expecting interrogation type questions but some have been more revealing than I would have hoped . And this also includes the Skype interviews with YT brilliant keep it up .
Nothing like trying to run before you've consistently walked, right? That's before we try and throw in some video clips with the Daydream Believers lads. It's got Tuesday/Thursday night failure written all over it!
Well done Ben, I'd noticed on twitter that you'd asked Darren and he'd said yes, so was hoping he'd agree a date. My daughter is asking me who it is each week, she's really enjoying them too after initially thinking they'd be a bit boring as she didnt really know the players/managers .
As soon as we feel confident enough to announce our 'former striking heroes' series with him, Don Goodman and Tony Bedeau.
Any chance of Mal Shotton , sure he would have some great stories to tell , loving these interviews too .
Wow what a lineup! Thank you so much. Personally looking forward to Big Mick, Jimbo and Barnard the most
Great line up of some really well thought of players. I hope you get hold of some of our past foreign talent in the future though instead of just the Brits.
Brilliant line up Ben - thank you. Any chance of any the following too do you think: Ashley Ward Martin Bullock Darren Sheridan Istvan Ferenczi Jovo Bosancic Clint Marcelle Arjan De Zeeuw Eric Winstanley Pat Howard
We're working through as many possibilities as we can. All down to who you can get hold of, who will agree, who hasn't done something similar recently, and then making sure you move around the different seasons and eras so it's not all back to back from the same squad.
wonder if some of the old boys from the 50's/60's are still around - would be interesting to hear how they trained/wages/work conditions/travel to away matches etc
