Not eaten liver for years but saw some in Coop and thought why not ? Done with some onions and a few mushrooms in gravy. Nice pile of mash and .... wow- was lush What have you tried for first time in years ? And enjoyed or hated ?
Tried first time ever 3/4 weeks ago, Tinned fish. Mackeral, pilchards couldn't get my head round em. Even trying em in chilli and other sauces. Loving em, always liked tuna. Still hate salmon.
Butterscotch flavour with tinned fruit. Whatever happened to Instant whip ( careful with the replies!!)
Father in law used to buy Tripe and elder from the Market, now that is rank. You can chuck as much vinegar on that bad boy as you like, it aint improving it.No wonder he went before his time.
That sounds like ya ate ya Grandparents.. which am sure even in the current shortages wasn't wot ya did...was it?
No I loved my grandparents and most of my Granny's cooking, especially her minced beef roll made with suet pudding. Very stodgy but delicious!
Not had it for years but like the taste - same as kidney should be horrible but love a good steak and kidney pie! My granddad loved tripe - now that is wrong! He also had stewmeat and cowheel :-(
Jam roly poly. I’d been on the wagon with the stuff for years then my daughter did some yesterday with proper vanilla pod custard. I’ll be in rehab by the end of the lockdown.
