In Sevenoaks, recovery job all the way back to Huddersfield. With all the coronavirus I did wonder about their policy on being in the cabin with the flat bed driver. Had to sit in the van on the back of the flat bed whole way back! Didn’t even know it was legal lol anyone else every done it before?
3 weeks ago my partners lad had a prang in our Audi I had to sit in the car from Dewsbury to Barnsley on the back of the AA truck, it looked bloody daft, but safe.
did you sit in drivers seat or passenger seat - think I'd be in passenger seat? Not sure if it's legal - probably covered with one of those vague laws that say passengers should be transported safely rather than specifically specify what can be done or not done.
I'd say the recovery of a stranded driver and vehicle is pretty essential. I just hope you held your breath all the way back.
Yeah I couldn’t believe it! Did feel safe actually and fairly smooth ride. Thought the guy was joking when he told me at first though haha. And I did go for the drivers seat actually had to keep starting the engine to keep it warm, felt weird having the engine running on the back aswell!
