What activity are you missing most during lockdown? For me it’s not getting to play cricket on. Saturday after a long week at work. Obviously loads of other stuff too but with family at least we can FaceTime.
Cuddling and playing with the grandkids. dad and daughter chats, were in touch all the time, but it’s not the same.
I miss opening the batting in the second innings of a match, getting out and knowing I could sink a few beers and not have the inane boredom of fielding. I don't miss getting out to a first ball duck in the first innings of a match knowing my weekend was ruined and I had to suffer the inane boredom of fielding and couldn't have a drink for six hours.
nowt really, We took early retirement about 4 years ago, so apart from the queues at supermarkets nothing has altered that much for us.
My partner lives in San Francisco so seeing her has been off the table for two months and approaching three. Fun times!
Being able to go on holiday, being able to go to the pub, being able to go to a restaurant or cafe, being able to see friends, being able to watch football, being able to play golf....loads of stuff. Also having two twenty somethings in the house who are climbing the walls with boredom is getting to me. Not sure I can take 12 months of this! Hope a vaccine is a lot quicker than expected.
Knowing I won’t be going on our planned vacation this year, that’s the thing I’ll miss the most. You work all year, a long slog with that carrot at the end. Other than that, just the usual stuff like family and friends, my colleagues, seeing folk basically.
know exactly what you mean - what I miss most is the freedom to choose to go where I want when I want -
She lives in Walnut Creek. I was averaging once every 4-6 weeks for the first couple of years or so but the last year I've been over less but for longer, if that makes sense. Three weeks over Thanksgiving and early December. Used to fly in to Oakland which was perfect, but now I'm SFO all the time since Norwegian stopped the International flights.
