    It’s a very small minority of scumbags, but their actions are very significant in the lives and perceptions of many people. Most kids are very good.

    I guess this does go from generation to generation. But when I was growing up in the town an incident such as this would have been unimaginable. As Keir Starmer said to Johnson last week, albeit in relation to Covid-19, how did it come to this?

    Smart solicitor would just say in court that the images are not clear enough for a conviction to take place. There are no really clear pictures of their faces so don’t think anything will come of it unfortunately

    But a solicitor will claim they are not clear enough for a conviction the police would not have released them if there was substantial evidence against them

    Standard practice. They will get done for it. Not saying it will be enough sentence wise, but that CCTV is decent enough from experience.

    Cannot describe how down that’s made me feel for the lad. Please if there’s any justice. Sort the ******** out ( make punishments fit the crime. ) . If I knew any of em I’d plaster their names all over social media. let the good public of Barnsley admonish em. ( read into that what you like.) I know a few good people that would. If the courts won’t. I hope the messages on here can get through to the lad.

    Agree with that, I was shocked at the ages of those arrested, I was expecting a group of teenagers but most are late 20's and into their 30's. Probably got a few kids themselves between them, and so the cycle repeats.

    More than decent enough. Let's say (I know most of them have ++++ previous too) I would be surprised if they all didn't get less than 2 years, pitiful I know. The 'main man' has his home address as 'HMP Doncaster' on facebook: he doesn't care.
