We've never used Tesco until today. We've been going to Sainsburys most weeks. Had a home delivery from them
on Sunday, but managed to get a slot for home delivery from Tesco which came today.

My Wife says she preferred the Tesco delivery. The products had longer dates on them, the bags in which the goods were delivered were studier and unlike Sainsburys, there were no substitute products, although to be fair to them,Sainsburys gave us a voucher for £2.50 redeemable on our next shop, if of course we make one.

I love Tesco scanners, if you do it as you go round you can pack as you go and you don't overspend. Dont want to put staff out of work though.

Use it all the time in Asda too. It's so much better than trying to pack it all the till.

I used the self scan app at Waitrose* for the first time last shop- they have scanners but its really easy to use the app on the phone - it worked far better than I could have expected - no queue at the self checkouts - just waved the phone once to upload my shopping and again to pay and job done and out I walked. Bags already packed as I went round. Will definitely be doing that again next time. Also has the advantage you don't get such a shock at the bill when you get to the checkout as you saw it coming.

    * yes I know but I live in Farnham we dont have Tescos and Morrisons - need to drive to Aldershot for those
