Just goes to show how foolhardy it might be to resume games in June. I see that Troy Deeney of Watford has said that in order to protect his family from Covid, there's no way he's planning to resume training. Law of averages there were going to be positive tests. If that's all it would take to stop a return then they may as well not have bothered getting to this stage. Nearly 800 people were tested for an infection return much lower than we see daily at the briefing.
Not good, I also like my NFL, those teams will have around 150 staff in. They're opening training facilities next week.....what this space. Though the biggest guys are strong and explosive a lot would be classed as morbidly obese. Not a good recipe especially when you throw race into the equation.
Professor Carl Heneghan reckons if figures continue as they are we will have a covid free day by the end of June. If players don't want to play that should be their choice. But if the season doesn't finish a lot of clubs will be in trouble giving cash back to TV broadcasters.
