    ... in his own words.

This is a 30 minute speech he gave to some advertising industry folk where he boasts of how he manipulated the British public.

I think I will watch this once he has hopefully been booted out. Not sure I can stomach it otherwise.

This needs to go viral today, maybe folk will realise that maybe this mob are playing them like 2nd hand fiddles. It'll take folk taking a look a themselves in the mirror and reflecting on their unconscious bias which may be a stomach churning experience.
Horrible man with equally awful associates and collaborators.

Yes I should have put a warning on this.

When I first saw it I felt physically sick and now I can't watch it at all.

    Wow !!!
And the presentation is from NUDGE STOCK.
There is nothing to dislike about Cummings presentation.
Basically he is saying the Leave Campaign targeted, to then motivate, the section of the population that had doubts about the EU.

One very important sentence - was when he was talking about the perception the public has of Conservative MPs - that these MPs don’t care about poorer people and things like the NHS.
And Cummings said - that people are right to think that about most Conservative MPs because they don’t - and Boris and Gove are out to change it.

I’ve seen this different approach by the Conservative Party in the area I’m interested in - the environment.
In other words - there is now a new breed of Conservative that is fighting the old guard of the Conservative Party.
Dominic Cummings is at the forefront of that new breed of Conservatism and as such it would be a setback for all of us if he was hounded out of office by the media.

What did you think of him saying that Boris knew what HE was promising regarding the £350m? Something which Boris outright said was nothing to do with him?

There is spin attached - but there is much truth behind the £350m per week to the EU.
After rebates and then money sent back to the UK - there is still at least £200m per week lost to the EU.

That's not what I'm asking though.
On the day of the Brexit result. Boris Johnson categorically denied that the £350m message was anything to do with him. Cummings has admitted that Boris knew exactly what HE was promising.

I'm not asking if the £350m thing is an acceptable claim to make I'm just asking what your opinion is on Boris denying any involvement only for his advisor to admit that it was Boris himself making that £350m promise.

I don’t know - could be a ploy by Cummings to twist Boris’s arm on the issue.

So he played on fears of immigration. Pity them mooslims can still come in.
He played on the fears of Turkey joining. Three years on are they anywhere near joining? No of course not.
He blamed the crisis in Greece on the euro. The crisis in Greece was caused by the world economic crash.
The targeted campaigning/manipulation i'm afraid is here to stay. More sophisticated campaigning is an inevitability of our digital age.
He has a point about taking out the extremism of UKIP by winning and making them irrelevant. However he did that by giving the mooslim haters what they thought they wanted. The trouble is that they'll soon realise that what they think they've won isn't actually what they HAVE won.

Ohh....and now Boris HAS become PM we can expect the extra 350 million to be put into the NHS every week forthwith as he's 99.9% recurring sure that's what Boris is intent on doing.
I await that with great anticipation.

You think Cummings was the one lying not Boris?

I think this photo shows that Boris was promising it
    [IMG]

Boris said that it was nothing to do with him. Farage said it was Boris not himself. Cummings says it was Boris.

Not disputing the rest of your argument but I know quite a few Greeks and they definitely blame the Euro. They reckon they lost out big style on the exchange rate followed by everything being rounded up to the nearest euro. They estimate that they lost out by about 10%.

I think Johnson was just standing there, the bus drove up behind him and he never saw it.

The presentation is by Dominic Cummings.

But you're right, Cummings is at the forefront of a new breed. One that manipulates, lies, deceives, creates division, prey on fears and encourages hatred.

Pretty much straight out of the playbook of Joseph Goebbels.

Just watched it, can’t see anything wrong with it myself. He’s basically describing how he went about running the leave campaign. Obviously if you voted to remain you will disagree with everything he’s said, but that’s all he’s doing here, talking through the ins and outs of their campaign. It’s not as though he was grinning smug like when he explains why he used the bus and mentioning immigration. He job was to win the campaign. He even mentions at the end that after winning the campaign he spoke to Boris n Gove that they should really back the bus campaign and give to the NHS, but Boris didn’t enter the race for No10 to start with instead we ended up with May. Does he boast about manipulating the public, doesn’t look like it to me. If Cameron and Osbourne would’ve run there campaign half as well if could’ve been a different outcome.
