    it’s obvious what he did was wrong; forget the excuses, if most people think you’re wrong - whether you are or not is really irrelevant.

    from that position if you decide you’re not going to sack someone, the best defence isn’t a rebuttal, it’s an apology and agree to move on.

    ‘I believed at the time I was doing the right thing, I can see now that I was mistaken blah blah’.

    so to drag the reputation of half the cabinet down and to totally undermine the public health message in the middle of a pandemic is a bizarre tactic.

    Can you explain to me the purpose of the ongoing lockdown please? Because my understanding was the justification given was not exceeding NHS capacity. Well, job done - we’re now at only 12%. Brilliant. Justification for lockdown finished, let the young and healthy out of our homes.

    Quite unbelievable post. NHS capacity at 12%? 12% of what?
    Yes we had to ensure the severely underfunded NHS wasn't overwhelmed, and that's happened because of lockdown!!!!
    So now you think it's ok for everyone to be released, and the now young and healthy even though they may not be so young and healthy in a couple of weeks. ?
    No-one knows what will happen, this virus is completely unknown, but a steady and controlled exit seems logical to me rather than saying well it's only 12% so we can now let everyone out (and how do you guarantee who is healthy?)
    The general population have not been tested yet

    My question is why did the member of the public write down the registration in the first place?
    It's very important that this is true, or the entire argument falls apart, even though what's already out should be more than enough to see his head roll.

    I really hope so. I have no doubt that he breached the lockdown more than once. Not one.
    I just hope this is true or the idiots will just say "Fake News!" to everything else, no matter what evidence comes in the future.

    I want to reiterate, what has already been confirmed is more than enough that he should have to resign or be sacked.

    12% of ICU ventilator capacity is being used. Come on, pay attention, the whole justification used for lockdown was that we had to slow the spread, to stop NHS critical care capability beino overwhelmed.     I've lost 2 (distant) family members to this virus. They died alone and we could not attend their funeral. If only we knew that we could have just followed our 'instinct' and not the rules.
