Forget the road traffic act, drive whilst having issues with your eyes. In fact carry passengers, not just passengers your family.
How hard would it be to say "At the time, clouded by the situation I faced I though I was doing the right thing" "With the benefit of hindsight i now see it wasnt, I'm sorry" Yes people would still call for him to go out a lot wouldn't, and it would be a thousands times better than the $h!t show we just witnessed.
This has been done for sympathy , the reason he was given a press conference was to bait the press and claim he’s being hounded and it’s unfair . there’s no other reason why he should get a press conference , it’s the nasty press and loony lefties won’t leave me alone . It’s spin nothing more nothing less and according to BBC there’s tweets going out now calling the media . These are being put on line now and a massive social media campaign will now be on its way . It’s the only thing that could save him , hopefully the people will see through it .
To give him credit, he's probably done wonders for the north-east tourist industry - think of all them blind folk (inc refs) who are now going to be booking a trip up there to cure their eyesight on the Durham to Barnard Castle pilgrimage drive. I'm coming out of furlough to set up one of them rosary bead shops en route.
Talk about Hypocrisy, sky/BBC news are out to hammer Cummings for travelling 260miles yet they send reporters to Barnard Castle to interview folk. Couldn’t make it up. And yes, I think he probably should resign but not going to lose any sleep if he doesn’t.
Actually he came across better than I expected. I thought he'd start snapping back in an intolerant superior manner. But he didn't. Barnard Castle is a bit of a car crash (metaphoric rather than literal) - let's face it - if you're so obsessed with the care of your child, you don't go out driving with the kid in the car, to test how blind you are. Otherwise there might be a certain method in his madness, though not enough to save him, when it comes to his having done "the right thing".
So Mr Cummings, Your wife and child went to hospital, whilst both displaying covid symptoms, something that goes against the experience of many others in a similar situation. This incident has not been reported in the press, is it merely the case that u were seen there and have put this out there to avoid later exposees. You went and picked them up despite being gravely ill? You say there were no taxis? How many were called? Your child can't last 25 miles without a toilet break, but can last 260 miles. Is it maybe just that u know u were seen on that jaunt and so have added that detail. You felt your eyesight was weird and despite taking expert medical advice on going back to work, you felt that the best way to test your eyesight was to drive 25 miles there and back to test it, on your wife's birthday? What if the test hadn't gone well? Beggars belief really doesn't it?
Fairytale from start to finish for me. 2 ex tory prime ministerial advisors have just said they thought that was a good performance. Jesus Christ!!!
There is no coming back from this. No need him to resign or for laughing boy to sack him. It's over. Let them continue like this.
I feel sorry for the Prof that got caught knobbing his mistress, he should have just said he was testing that his c0ck still worked.
It wasn’t about the reasons he broke lockdown or anything relating to his reasons , he clearly didn’t give a fek . Thus was done to draw on the hate and extrapolate sympathy , Tweeters on the wings were ready to blame journalists and people protesting outside his home . This was planned , this is a strategy I just hope it fails but as we know peoples minds change so quickly nowadays , get ready for his windows going through or summat else that’s staged or courted .
